I'm just cutting out the part about Halloy being Anna and she was a lesbian bc idk how to write that. My POVs r like a third person but also is someone's POV I just sometimes say he/she instead of I so don't mind it.

IMPORTANT: The first part of this chapter is shitty as so don't mind that, I just couldn't get the words onto the page right but it was a necessary section to this(when it's done I'll say so). Quite honestly this whole chapter is shit so please wait until the end of chapter 2 before you leave

"Amalia is not evil!" He yelled again.

"You don't know that Ruy," Dorian spoke. "How do we know she isn't?"

"Because she was with me!" He didn't plan to tell them that but it was necessary. "She came to my room and told me that one of her handmaids had gone missing. I- I... I laughed in her face and said they go missing all the time, I didn't think something would actually be wrong but soon we heard Halloy's screams rippling through the halls. We got there too late..."

They looked at him shocked.
"Ruy you're engaged!" Cato screeched.
"I don't love Henrietta, I only agreed because I was under the assumption she was dead!" He glared at his parents. "And by dusk I won't be!"

He stormed out of the room in search of Henrietta, the bitch who thought he would just marry while still in love with another. Guards moved out of my way, knowing to not fuel my anger. I knew she would be easy to find as she spent most of her time in my gardens which she assumed would just be hers after we got married.

He had planted roses and marigolds for Sophie and her father. Sure enough I heard her humming when I finally reached my garden. "Why hello Ruy darling!" She cooed, leaning in to kiss me. Wrinkling his nose slightly, he pulled away in disgust. "What's wrong?" She asked while drawing her petite fingers up my chest.

"I've come to break off the engagement!" I told her. She gasped. "But why?!" She cried, tears starting to her eyes.

"I only agreed because Sarai and Dorian proclaimed Amalia's death and I felt empty and didn't care anymore, now that I know she's alive I want to be with her. I never loved you Henrietta my heart only belonged to her," He knew he was being harsh but he didn't care, all he cared about was getting his Sophie back, to feel her gentle fingers tracing his wings, to be able to love her without worry.

By this point the girl was crying and Ruy looked away ashamed. "Fine then, I'll just be a disappointment!" She turned her nose up in the air and stalked off as if she hadn't just been bawling her eyes out.

He felt bad but it was necessary. "Wait!" He called out. She looked around hopefully. "I think Kalem has a thing for you," He smiled, he had heard his brother murmuring about her in his sleep and wanted them to be happy. Henrietta grinned and ran off to find his brother. (That's the end of the shit part)

By nightfall the whole Dunmer population knew about the broken off engagement. But by that time all knew about the new couple. Dunmerians left and right asked him how he felt about it and he just says he set them up.

"You always have a plan don't you?" Sarai mused as she and Ruy sat on the balcony of her turret. "Not really, things just happen after I do it which sets it into place,"

His mother shuffled slightly and adjusted her Emerald dress. "I'm so sorry I told you she died, Dorian said it was for the best and..." She looked at him ashamed. "I believed him. While you were handling your grief so was I, I knew you two were bound to get married and I saw Amalia as a daughter. Her disappearance broke me, not just because I loved her too but because of the effect she had on you. After your father convinced me to proclaim her death I was too numb to disagree, when I saw your crestfallen, grief-stricken face I knew what I did was worst but I didn't have the heart to correct it." She paused, taking Ruy's hand. "I truly am sorry,"
