Chapter 13:
Days turned into weeks as Liam fought a battle against an enemy neither of them could defeat. Maya stood by his bedside, her music now a lament that echoed through sterile hallways. She held his hand, whispering words of love and promises of a future they both knew was slipping away.
Maya's pov:
I sit by Liam's bed, holding his hand. The hospital walls are so white and cold, and every day feels the same, just the machines beeping and keeping him alive. Liam looks so pale now, nothing like the strong, lively man I fell in love with.
I play my violin for him every day. Today, my music is sad, like my heart. The sound echoes down the quiet hallways, and I feel like it's crying for him, for us. I lean in close, whispering, "I love you, Liam. I wish we had more time, to see the world, to get married, to have kids."
Tears blur my eyes, but I won't let them fall. I need to stay strong for him, even though my heart is breaking. These days have turned into weeks, each one reminding me that our time is slipping away. But I'll stay here, every moment, every second, until the end. I promised him, and I'll keep that promise, no matter what.
Thank you sweetie's
