Avery's POV
The morning started with a calm, domestic routine. After namin maligo at magbihis ng school uniforms namin, Tyler and I had breakfast together in the sleek, modern kitchen of our new home.
Despite the whirlwind of changes, it felt comforting to share this ordinary moment.
Tyler was his usual composed self, sipping his coffee and scrolling through his phone, while I tried to shake off the lingering nerves.
"We should get going," Tyler said, glancing at the clock.
I nodded, grabbing my bag.
We headed to his car, a Mclaren GT that attracted attention wherever he went. Sabay kaming papasok ngayon dalawa dahil wala naman akong choice kasi wala naman akong sasakyan.
The drive to Sierra Heights University was uneventful, the city waking up around us. Ang dami kong hahabulin sa klase dahil isang linggo din ako nawala.
As we approached the university's entrance gate, a sense of foreboding crept over me.
There was a crowd gathered, at nung makalapit na kami, I realized they were reporters. Nung makita nila ang papalapit na sasakyan ni Tyler ay nagkagulo na sila at kaagad niready yung mga cameras and microphones nila.
"Tyler, what's going on?" I asked. Bigla akong kinabahan.
He sighed, his expression darkening. "Have you not checked the internet?" he asked, a hint of irritation in his voice.
I quickly pulled out my phone and scanned the headlines.
There it was, splashed across every major news site: "Heir of the Sandoval Empire Weds in London." Pictures of our wedding were everywhere, capturing moments that had felt private and intimate at the time. Ito ang kauna-unahang beses na nakita ko ang sarili ko sa articles.
My eyes widened in disbelief. "How did this happen so fast?" I muttered, feeling a mix of shock and dread.
"What are we going to do?" I asked, halos pabulong ko na lang na sabi.
Tyler exhaled deeply. "Just act normal."
He parked the car atsaka niya binuksan ang pinto nito at lumabas, striding confidently to my side. For a moment, akala ko iiwan niya ako sa loob ng kotse, but to my surprise, he opened my door, unbuckled my seatbelt and helped me out of the car.
His hand gripped mine firmly as we walked, our fingers intertwined. The warmth of his touch was a small comfort amidst the chaos.
Nakayuko lang ako. The reporters swarmed around us, shouting questions and snapping photos, but Tyler kept us moving forward, his expression a mask of calm determination.
"No comment," he repeated firmly whenever they pressed too closely.
When we reached the entrance of Sierra Heights, the security guards stepped in, blocking the reporters from following us any further.
Nung makapasok na kami sa building, a hush fell over the students gathered in the hallways. Madaming estudyante ngayon ang nandito at nag aabang.
Their whispers spread like wildfire, and I could feel the weight of their stares.
