"Elen! Run!"
The events that unfolded a while ago suddenly flashed back in my mind, as we are riding the carriage.. the princess, still sleeping soundly in my arms.
During the battle, I called out to her using her pseudo name because there were Soccorian Soldiers around. It was too dangerous to call her 'princess'.
Also, using her name makes me feel..
Somewhat closer to her.
That time, I took out my sword and swung it to the soldier coming towards me. I looked back to see if the princess has left, but she was still talking to the Asclepians.. probably giving them instructions.
"Agh!"
I cried out in pain as another soldier struck at my arm while I wasn't looking. I fought back, and when I turned around, the princess has already escaped.
I then lunged at the two soldiers that attacked me and took them down in an instant.
Seeing that no more soldiers were coming to enter, I went out to look for her.
She was no longer in sight when I reached outside. I started looking for her but suddenly, I heard a roar and a new commotion happening on the other side.
I ran to where the commotion was and instantly spotted a white dragon flying and attacking the black dragon. Riding the white dragon, was the princess herself, trying to subdue the black dragon.
At that time, watching her felt like slow motion. All I can see is her, and no else. It's like the world stopped for a moment.. and made my heart gallop like a horse in a race.
I immediately snapped from my imagination, when I heard the roar from the angry black dragon.
A thought about the black dragon suddenly occurred to me, as if I've seen it somewhere. I shook my head momentarily and forced my feet to move in order to fight the remaining soldiers.
When the battle has finally ended, I was looking at the princess as she was admiring her sword up close. She was smiling, her dimples showing. Her brown hair was resting beautifully on her shoulders. She was wearing a pink dress, that suits her well. Her eyes lit up, proud of her sword.
She's really like a kid, I thought.
Before I knew it, I was smiling myself.
What's this? What kind of spell does she put me into?
"Omygosh, you're bleeding." I was too preoccupied with my thoughts that I haven't noticed her approaching me.
"I'm fine princess, it's just a scratch." I told her, my eyes, never getting enough of her. My heart did a somersault, the moment she touched my arm.
She went over and took a look at my wound and started healing it, but I can tell that her mana is weak because she wasn't able to heal my wound completely.
I was about to stop her from using her mana further, but suprisingly, the white dragon came forward, and in an instant, my wound was gone.
I was looking at her intensely coz she's so stubborn, yet very beautiful. It's like there's an urge to caress her lovely face.
