Nova gasped, sitting up to see that she was in her room in her bed. Alec was asleep in the arm chair in the corner of her room, she smiled at the sight."Alec?" Nova said softly, staring at her older brother. Alec jumped awake and ran to his sister's side.
"Are you okay?" Alec asked, his eyes scanning her for any discomfort.
"I'm fine. What happened?" Nova asked, slipping out of bed and getting used to her feet again.
"Demon venom. You were just overworked." Alec sighed, punching the bridge of his nose as Nova put some new clothes on behind a divider type thing. She put on a pair of black skinny jeans and a corset top, grabbing one of her not torn leather jackets that she loved, oh, so much.
"By the way, what were you dreaming about?" Alec asked as his little sister stepped out and looked at herself in the mirror.
"Nothing." Nova shrugged, pinching her wrist, she was a very bad liar when it came to family and friends.
"Liar." Alec said, standing beside her and taking her wrist to show the pinch mark. That's when her saw her charm bracelet that was supposed to be under the runes on the training floor, "Nov, that's supposed to be locked away."
"Why? I like it. It's stylish and-"
"It's dangerous. You know what happened last time. Take it off." Alec said, holding his hand out. Nova groaned before unclipping the charm bracelet and dropping it into her big brother's hands.
"I don't want to wear jeans anymore." Nova said, looking at herself in the mirror again.
"Too bad." Alex said, taking her arm and dragging her to the training area. Alec used his stele on the rune on the floor and put the charm bracelet in the box that sits there before using his stele to lock the rune again.
"Alec. Nova, you're awake." Jace said, his face lighting up at the sight of the brunette.
"Yeah, she is. What's up?" Alec stepped in. Nova looked at her brother confused before following them to where a certain ginger haired girl was sitting on the bed/couch thing while talking to Isabelle.
"Who is she? And what is she doing here?" Nova asked as Isabelle smiled at the sight of her sister, standing up and hugging her before they both moved to the seat in the corner, Nova's legs over Isabelle's.
"A mundane shouldn't even be here." Alec said, agreeing with his sister.
"Where is 'here's exactly?" The girl asked, how could she not know where they were.
"She's not a mundane, Alec." Jace said, standing up for the girl. Nova scowled at the ginger, not liking her already.
"How do you know that?" Alec asked.
