The group walked for hours before arriving at the church. When they arrived they all stood quietly and looked at the old building. Shiki looked over at the others.
"So, from what I can tell the building seems to be made out of stone and brick."
Lucian walked in front of them.
"Lets just go in. We'll take our chances and see what happens."
They all looked at each other trying to decide what to do. Gabriel shrugged.
"I suppose we don't exactly have many options. Let's go in. But I think we should all be careful."
They all nodded. They opened the front doors and quietly walked into the main lobby of the church. They walked in to find the dead bodies of church officials laying on the floor. Raziel looked around the room,Gabriel looked down, Shiki looked at the wall, Lucian looked at the ceiling, Irina covered her mouth, Alexis turned away and hugged Gabriel, Mayumi covered her eyes with her hands, and Cenera looked down. Raziel looked over his shoulder at the others.
"None of you are used to this. So you don't have to stay."
Lucian sighed and walked past Raziel then turned to face them all.
"We arent going anywhere. Now lets go."
Lucian and Shiki walked forward and pushed the large doors open then they all stood there quietly. They all stood staring into an empty courtyard. After they all looked at each other they slowly walked into the courtyard together. They all looked around quietly and the doors behind them shut. Shiki looked behind them and sighed.
"I guess they don't want us leaving now"
Raziel continued looking around.
"You all could have left had you wanted. It's too late now though. We should be careful. We never know what could happen."
Everyone nodded in agreement then Cenera looked around.
"Is it just me or is it getting windy?"
Raziel and Gabriel both stopped moving and looked around being more cautious at the mention of wind. And Cenera looked at them.
"What are you doing? You both are acting weird."
Raziel sighed.
"Think about it for a second. We're in a place where angels could show up. And it's getting windy."
Cenera looked around.
"You don't think they're going to attack us now do you?"
Raziel and Gabriel both continued looking around cautiously. Gabriel thought about the possibility of being attacked and shrugged.
"Can't really be sure."
Irina sat down on the ground beside Cenera.
"This is weird for me. Normally the courtyard has plenty of people in it."
Cenera looked at the ground.
"Its so beautiful here. With all these flowers. I dont understand why anyone would attack this church"
Lucian leaned against a wall
"I heard that they have special holy artifacts here. Maybe the fallen angels are after these artifacts"
Everyone looked at Irina and she sighed.
"I heard that there were artifacts here but I don't know where they are or if they even exist at all"
Gabriel poked at the ground
"If the fallen angels are here then the exist. That means we need to be quick and find them before the angels do."
Raziel thought for a moment and looked at Irina.
"By any chance do you know if there are any demonic weapons here?"
Irina looked back at Raziel then shrugged.
"Honestly I'm not sure. If so I don't know where they are either"
Shiki kicked at the ground.
"This sucks. So far we dont know anything at all. Irina, you lived here when you were younger so shouldn't you know something about this?"
Irina looked down
"Sorry.. I dont know anything about it. They keep most of the weapons that are stored here a secret. Only high ranked members of the church know."
They all thought to themselves quietly and a mysterious voice laughed.
"A secret huh? Interesting. I found a whole horde of holy weapons we can use to slay the demon king and anyone close to him. Like all of you."
They all turned to look at the owner of the voice to find a fallen angel. Raziel stepped past Irina and Mayumi.
"So you decided to show up here as well Camael. Good. It's about time we settle our fight."
Camael laughed loudly as an army of fallen angels rose up behind him.
"Each member of my army has a holy weapon to replace the light they lost when they fell from Grace. A pathetic demon like you stands no chance against us."
Raziel watched all the angels and carefully lowered one arm with his palm reaching towards the ground.
"An army of fallen angels huh? Hey, Guys want to help me out?"
Gabriel stepped forward next to Raziel and pulled out a sword.
"I'll help. Shiki and Lucian and stay behind us."
Raziel nodded then spoke quietly so only Gabriel could hear him.
"Gabe.. Hold them off for just a couple minutes. I have a plan."
Gabriel nodded slightly and raised his sword in front of him.
"Don't take too long though. My sword was made by the church but the weapons they have are of a far greater quality. My sword won't last long."
Raziel nodded and closed his eyes as the angels charged towards them.
Gabriel quickly moved in front of Raziel and blocked a strike with his sword. Lucian dashed forward with his spear and stabbed through an angel then began blocking their strikes.
Raziel opened his eyes to find himself in a ruined city with Tiamat standing in front of him..
"How can I call Gram?"
Tiamat sighed and sat down on some of the broken rubble.
"Its going to be a bit difficult. You'll have to exert demonic energy. You have to let out enough to let Gram know that you're the Demon King. But.. If you let out too much your demonic side will take over."
Raziel thought about this for a moment and nodded.
"It shouldn't be too much of a problem."
Tiamat picked up a piece of rubble and it crumbled apart in her hand.
"Raziel.. This city.. Represents your soul.. And it shows me your memories.."
Raziel looked at her with a confused look.
"My soul? So what?"
Tiamat looked up at Raziel
"You're broken. Your experiences will make your demonic side stronger. The hate and despair you felt all your life will give your demonic side more power. Just be careful."
Raziel nodded and closed his eyes. When he opened them next he saw the fallen angels assaulting his friends and began exerting his demonic power.
"I Raziel Morningstar am the Demon King and I have chosen the demonic dragon slayer sword Gram as my weapon. I will take no objections. Now! Come to your new master! Gram!"
There was a flash of light under the ground and then the ground in front of Raziel exploded upwards. Raziel covered his eyes and when he looked forward he could see a black and purple sword floated in the air awaiting its new master.
