Ashley's POV:

I headed down for my hopefully last dinner at this house which my father made into his operating room with his minions, but thankfully I had my Eevee on my side to remind me why to get out of the place.

I genuinely think my father is an insane man and I don't like his plans, even forcing my moms friends son into it because he takes care of the medical bills for a little girl Alain cares for a lot.

I hated everything about it, his ideas, his methods, the whole plan that started a bit before I was born. My mother left me and my dad without anything to trace her with and I'm just quite disappointed that she just left her child in the care of a mad man.

"Ash come on in and have a seat" My father said with a huge smile and put his hand on my back so I wouldn't try something with his minions.

I sat down on my father's left and his assistant on his right. The dinner with all his minions that were back at the base sat and stared at him waiting for something.

"We've all gathered here to announce something important" My father said and I watched as his assistant grabbed a hold of his right hand that was placed on the table with her left showing off a diamond ring on her ring finger.

"We're engaged!" They said at the same time making me stare at them with a shocked expression on my face as the room was filled with cheering and conversations.

"Are you happy for us?" My new future step mom asked me and I noticed a different look in her eyes that seemed mischievous.

"Uh, yeah sure" I said and my dad slipped me a note under a table with a small gift box formed in a square.
I opened the letter and read it to myself.

"𝙄𝙢 𝙨𝙤𝙧𝙧𝙮 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙣𝙤𝙩 𝙩𝙚𝙡𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙡𝙞𝙚𝙧 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙄 𝙜𝙪𝙚𝙨𝙨 𝙞𝙩 𝙛𝙚𝙚𝙡𝙨 𝙡𝙞𝙠𝙚 𝙞𝙢 𝙖𝙗𝙖𝙣𝙙𝙤𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙗𝙞𝙧𝙩𝙝 𝙢𝙤𝙢 𝙬𝙝𝙤 𝙄 𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙡𝙤𝙫𝙚 𝙗𝙪𝙩 𝙖𝙛𝙩𝙚𝙧 𝙖𝙡𝙡 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙨𝙚 𝙮𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙨 𝙞𝙩 𝙛𝙚𝙡𝙩 𝙡𝙞𝙠𝙚 𝙄 𝙝𝙖𝙙 𝙩𝙤 𝙢𝙤𝙫𝙚 𝙤𝙣, 𝙩𝙖𝙠𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙖𝙨 𝙖 𝙨𝙢𝙖𝙡𝙡 𝙖𝙥𝙤𝙡𝙤𝙜𝙮

𝙆𝙞𝙨𝙨𝙚𝙨: 𝘿𝙖𝙙"

I put the note in my back pocket of my jeans and opened the box slightly seeing a luxury ball together with a key stone connected to a necklace inside of it. My dad gave me a small smile and I returned it.

I was starting to feel bad about leaving but when you think about it it's honestly just a gift and his intentions with his plan are still the same which I didn't want to be a part of.

As the dinner was served I stayed quiet since I didn't really have anyone around my age to chat to since they were just talking about what they were supposed to watch on the tv after dinner finished.

I finished up my curry and excused myself so I could head outside with the box my father gave me. I walked outside to the courtyard and over to the battle ground he made for training purposes.

I tossed the ball out in front of me watching as a beautiful Lucario with a bracelet and when I walked closer I noticed it was a Lucarionite in the middle of it.
