Scorching summer heat. Merchants talking, making bets with one another. The sound of hooves walking along a cobblestone path. The feeling of my heart beating rapidly in my chest. From these things alone I can sense it. Today I will battle in the ring. What is the ring? The ring is an underground fight ring where despicable people from all over gather to make their slaves fight once a year during the summertime. If you win you are granted freedom, but if you lose you will be auctioned off once again. People love to bring the most exotic of slaves to battle from humans to demi-humans to elves all are brought in to participate. Many die during this event. This will be my third year battling for my freedom in the ring. Who am I? Well my name is Alsan and I'm a forest elf. I hope to win this year so that I can return to my travels in hope of finding my lost friend. Enough about me though we are almost there.
