TW: vomit

Taylor woke with a groan, the space next to her already cold. Her head was pounding, her stomach churning and her brain felt like it was about to explode. She reached for her phone, turning it on to find a message from Travis. She smiled slightly as she read it, soon stopping as it made her head throb.

Trav 💕: hey baby, I had to leave for practice but I'll be home at about 3, I hope you slept well and have a good day
Love you xx

Taylor typed out her response, not wanting Travis to know she was sick because he would leave practice and come to look after her if that was the case, and she didn't want that to happen. Practice was important, and she didn't want her silly little bug to keep him off.

Tay 💕: okay! I hope you have a good practice, love you too xx

She put her phone aside, sitting up slowly and groaning as she did so. She swung her legs over th side of the bed, standing up. The room swayed before her as her vision was clouded with stars, making her grip onto the bedpost tightly. Suddenly her stomach turned and she rushed for the bathroom, crashing into the wall on the way. She collapsed in front of the toilet, the world still spinning around her, and threw up. Her vision was too clouded to look into the bowl, and therefore she didn't notice the spots of red dotted in her puke.

After about ten minutes her stomach settled a bit, so she lay down on the floor, too tired to move. The cool tiles against her face made her shiver, but she was still sweating, lying there in just her t shirt and shorts. Soon enough she passed out, her head still pounding and her stomach churning.

"Tay?!" Travis called as he locked the door behind him. Usually his girlfriend was there to greet him, but that day she wasn't. He didn't think too much of it, thinking maybe she was just in her music room or something. He popped his head round the door, surprised when the room was empty. He made his way upstairs, calling for her as he went.
"Trav?" Taylor croaked as she sat hunched over the toilet for the hundredth time that day.
"Taylor?" Travis entered the bathroom, immediately dropping to his knees next to her when he saw her on the floor. He held her hair back and rubbed her back as another wave of sicknesss hit.

Once it has passed she leant back into him, closing her eyes weakly.
"Why didn't you tell me you were sick?" Travis asked worriedly, feeling her forehead. "Jesus Taylor, you're burning" he gasped, before reaching for the thermometer. He stuck it in her right ear, pulling it out to read the number once it had beeped. The thermometer read 103, so Travis put it on the side and stood up, leaning Taylor against the drawers.

"We need to get you to bed baby" Travis said, putting his hands under her arms and helping her to her feet. The room swayed and she fell into Travis as she stood, too weak to hold herself up. Travis lifted her up bridal style, his brow furrowed worriedly as he carried her into their room. He laid her on the bed and swapped their duvet out for a thin blanket, not wanting Taylor to overheat. Taylor groaned, covering her face with her hands.
"I know baby" Travis sympathised as he got a wet cloth from the bathroom, sitting down next to his girlfriend.
"You rest, okay?" He murmered, dabbing her sweaty forehead with the cloth.

Taylor closed her eyes, trying to sleep but it wouldn't come. Instead she just rested, enjoying, as much as she could, the soothing feeling of the cold cloth on her brow, interrupted every few minutes when Travis went to wet it again.

Eventually Taylor fell asleep, cuddled into the blanket. Although she was dead to the world, Travis wouldn't leave her side, too scared something would happen. Instead he lay down next to her, not wanting to get to close because he didn't want her to overheat, but wanting to offer her comfort. Eventually he fell asleep too, snoring lightly.

A/N This wasn't very long but I'm not sure what I want to happen, I'll make a part 2 when I decide
