Uzumaki Naruko.
She didn't know how she got herself into such a situation. Not that it was something out of the ordinary, though. She just wanted to do what...other boys were doing.
And here she was, once again all alone. Sitting on a swing, wondering what the hell happened. Blood was dripping down her legs. Not a lot, but a good enough amount for it to be...concerning.
She pushed herself on the swing, lightly rocking back and forth. She didn't want to go home. Not yet, at least. It isn't like someone is waiting for her.
The Sun started setting down in front of her eyes, creating a cozy atmosphere. It would be night soon. She knew it was dangerous for her to be outside at night, but she didn't care. Right now she didn't, at least.
The blonde kept pushing herself as if she didn't have a care in the world. Even if she had a lot. The sunshine kept rubbing at her whiskered cheeks, making her pretty face shine.
Though, as pretty as it was, her face showed no emotion. She kept staring into the distance and swinging herself.
She felt happy. Just for a moment. She already knew it wouldn't last long, as she was pushed out of it just a few minutes later.
"Naruko?"
She stopped swinging, her legs staying still. She waited for the swing to stop swaying back and forth, then turned to the direction of the noise.
She turned her head, seeing her academy teacher, Umino Iruka. Her face remained expressionless.
The man approached her, now standing in front of the young girl. He bent down, crouching so he was at eye level with her. He took a look at her knees, frowning.
"Naruko...what happened?"
He asked, looking at her bleeding knees. The girl, however, just stared at him. She didn't know how to reply.
Iruka sighed, looking at her. He didn't like this, not one bit.
"How did this happen?"
He asked again. The blonde blinked a few times, processing the question. She then replied after a few seconds, still looking up at her sensei.
"I was playing tag with Shikamaru, Kiba and Choji..."
Iruka gazed at her, slightly shaking his head as he sighed.
"And you fell?"
The girl nodded in response, not knowing what else to say. There wasn't anything else to say. Iruka kept looking at her.
"You really gotta be more careful... Why don't you play with Sakura or Ino, instead?"
Naruko looked at him, shaking her head. Not like she didn't wanna play with them. They seemed nice. But...
"They don't like me."
Iruka raised an eyebrow, still keeping his gaze on the small girl. She shook her head, her eyes focused on the ground as she slightly kicked her feet on the swing.
"Every time I try to approach them, they just brush me off...or....or they run away."
She confessed, then looked back up. The girl stared at him, wondering what her sensei was going to say, or if he was going to say anything at all.
"It's not that they don't...like you, Naruko..."
The blonde looked up at him with wide, blue eyes, expecting him to say something else. She was most certain that they didn't like her. She didn't know why they didn't, they just...don't. Much like the rest of the village.
