Hello, you may not know who I am yet, so this is my introduction. My name is Kanotoshi Teikei, I'm right now 12 years old and living with my elder sister, Kori Teikei, a 20 year old who's working 3 part-time jobs and is in university. We lived in Yokosuka, Japan, and lived in an apartment that our father left for us ever since he passed away a week or two ago from a heart disease. My mother died from birthing me, and my sister hated and blamed me for my mother's death ever since. She would sometimes call me names like "the unlucky" or "the unfortunate".
We didn't have much money and so we always had to either skip breakfast or eat the least expensive stuff we had. I sometimes go outside to beg for some money and earn about 20 dollars, but my sister scolded me each time for that since she said I looked like an embarrassment to her and won't feed me again if I ever continued to, which was a lie because I still done it and was never really treated differently.
Since my mother died when I was born, I never got to know what my mother was like. So, I became curious. I asked my sister multiple times about her, but she refused to tell me since she said she didn't feel comfortable talking about her. The only information I ever got about my mother from my sister is that my mother was a bit of a cruel person but was especially sweet to my sister. How did I find that information? Well, I went through her diary at the age of 8. Pretty impressive for me being that young and could find her dairy, am I right? I know you might be thinking, why didn't I just ask my father when he was still alive? I tried, but he wouldn't dare to say a single information about my mother, just like how my sister did. I'm guessing my mother was a heartless and mysterious person. I never liked my father even though he was sweeter to me more than my sister. I just thought it was very unfair for her since she was the one who's always working and was the only one who could feed all of us.
