I was sitting inside the Bricksons cafe adjacent to Peter, who was nonchalantly talking about his idiotic brother ' Ryan Bernard Campbell ' , I swear I'm coming for that guy's throat as soon as I get a glimpse of him. I have remembered each and every face in my mind like an AI , now the cardinal thing left is to skim and scan.

" Hey dude, Mayra is here ! " Peter diverted my attention to outside the window, where Mayra was standing trying to peek in .

" Alright man, I'll see ya later. " I waved at Peter and hurried back to Mayra. " Hey Champ, how was yo-" she started off and I cut her sentence at the halfway point. " Mayra , I wanna talk to you " I demanded .

" I'm not helping Achlys, if that's all your talk is about " she crossed her arms about her chest. " Mayra, we need to, you don't know what can happen to him " there was something in Mayra's eyes which questioned my stimulus.

" You. Can't. I'm not listening a single word more from you and you're coming back home. Right . Now. Get in the car " Mayra provoked .

" No " I mumbled. " What ? " Mayra was furious, that what was not because she missed what I said , it was for me to change my answer or I was going to meet my ancestors today, for sure.

" NO , I'm not going back , I want to help him " I deadpanned into her eyes LOUD and CLEAR. " Why? " Mayra interrogated .

" Why? Why Mayra, tell me, why? Why do you think is the reason? He was raped Mayra, RAPED, and he's living as if he has raped someone WHY? " I was this close to lose my mind, this close to lose everything to take his side, why? I don't know. Maybe because, it was something deeper for me to understand.

" Answer me Mayra, why? What did he do? Tried to protect his dignity? Tried to be open about himself? Or all he did was exist? No maybe he was weak, right? Or maybe because, he was not affluent. " I shook Mayra's shoulder while she looked at me with confusion and fear, as if she saw something else or someone else in my eyes.

" You won't answer Mayra? Alright, tell mom, I'm not coming home tonight " I told her and ran off somewhere without looking where I was going, I followed the path of my feet and didn't turn back to Mayra calling out for me. I just ran and ran until I felt my lungs getting heavier and stopped only to catch my breathe.

Panting hard, I saw a park in front of me, it was the park in the western side of the town, damn, I came a long way , but now I have nowhere to go, so maybe , park is not the worst idea. I went inside and sat on the bench in the far end corner of the garden area in solitude.

I took out my mobile phone and turned it off , cutting connection with everyone, I wanted to reflect on everything alone . I laid down on the bench and kept my bag under my head as a pillow, it was my sign to take a nap. Good night.

AN ETERNITY LATER

" -elieve he is dead " a voice reckoned. " Don't say that , it's rude " the other one scolded. I woke up because of the bickering of two female voices in my vicinity but was too lethargic to open my eyes.

" Look he moved, guess he's breathing " the first voice stated again, and this time I furiously opened my eyes to meet the infuriating gaze of a muscular body of a female, she had blonde hair and a septum with numerous tattoos around her neck, smells lesbian to me, not judging, my GAYDAR says it

" Oh my god, Mr Day we're sorry for troubling you. " I looked at the the other female , sucha familiar face .. wait , I pointed a finger at her and pronounced " AHMA?" .

She nodded excitedly and smiled at me . Damn, wasn't expecting to see her.
