After all of them finished eating, both Alice's and Y/N's fathers were busy talking business again. Actually, both of them were not quite sure if their fathers were still talking business, as they were still both seated in the kitchen, drinking light alcohol.
All of them seemed to be engrossed in their own businesses. Both their mothers are also talking in the living room. Both Alice's and Y/N's siblings were together upstairs. Alice found herself in the garden of their house again, looking at the plants that were lit up by the many lights outside their house.
Since Alice's family lived in the province, the surroundings were already peaceful, even though it's still not that late in the night. She sighed, her head looking up at the sky.
"Apaka boring." she muttered.
The wind gushed on her face, making her flash a small smile. Suddenly, she heard some footsteps. It was pretty obvious since the shoes of that particular someone sounded so loud.
Alice looked in the direction of the footsteps... She was shocked to see Y/N.
"Mind if I join you, Attorney?" Y/N asked. Alice shook her head, moving to the side of the bench so the architect could have a space to sit on. Y/N sat in the space that Alice made for her, but she still made sure to keep a safe distance from the lawyer.
"Why are you alone here?" Y/N asked, breaking the silence. Alice shrugged, crossing her arms underneath her chest. The architect looked around the garden, examining her surroundings.
Alice doesn't know what to say, sighing uncontrollably. "You didn't eat much earlier. Are you feeling okay?" Y/N asked, her tone laced with quite a worry. "O-Oh. About that... Nawalan lang ako ng gana kumain. I don't know why."
"Pero busog ka? Nabusog?"
"N-Not really." Alice stuttered, sighing. Y/N sighed, scratching her nape. "What do you want to eat to bring your appetite back?"
"M-McDo?" Alice stuttered again, getting embarrassed now. She heard the architect stifle a chuckle, clearing her throat almost instantly. "Do you want to go pick up McDonald's?" Y/N asked, standing up from her seat.
The lawyer shyly nodded her head, standing up from her seat too. "It'll be my treat, don't worry," Y/N said, walking. "W-We should use my car." Y/N stopped walking and turned her head in the lawyer's direction, waiting for her to catch up to her speed of walking.
"I actually brought my car... Pero sige, kung ayun ang gusto mong gamitin."
"Oh? Dala mo car mo?"
"Yeah. Sabi ko kasi kila Dad gusto ko mag drive mag-isa." Alice nodded upon hearing Y/N's explanation. "Then ayun na lang 'yung gamitin natin."
The architect nodded, getting a hold of Alice's hand. "Come closer."
"Fuck." Alice thought to herself. She felt her cheeks heating up again, and she couldn't help but to just freeze on her spot. Y/N went closer to her, asking what was wrong.
She shut her eyes forcefully before letting go of Y/N's hand. The architect got nervous because of the sudden action of the lawyer; maybe she shouldn't have held her hand. Is she being too much already?
"I-I'm sorry, Attorney... I-I didn't mean to hold your hand so suddenly..." the architect explained, stuttering. "N-No... It's fine... Nagulat lang din ako..."
"Are you sure...? Do you still want to go?" Y/N asked, her voice quivering a little. Alice nodded and gave her a reassuring smile. They both walked slowly on their way to where all of their cars were parked.
