Chapter 22

He plunged the knife into my abdomen and blood gushed from the wond that was inflicted on us.

"Amber!! I promise you death you maniac, you laid a hand on her and you must die for such a crime."

"Make me you snobby rich boy."

They tosiled and wrestled with each other, one trying to protect me and the unborn baby, the other wanting this child and I dead, the one was my husband the other my former lover, well more like former obsession. I cried out from the pain in my abdomen and I was worried about this fetus inside me, I tried my best to get up and walk to grab my phone to can call the ambulance. I shakily dailed those three digit numbers relying on them to help me and save my baby.

I looked over to my husband to see him laying there on the floor dead. The murder walked to me smiling like a madman. Tears weld up making my eyes glossy and my vision blurry. I looked back up to the murder, him holding a gun to my head, "I will not hesitate to kill you Amber unless you lose that thing in your stomach and marry me again."

"Never." His face twitched and rage took over him and he shot me with the most horrifying look with blood splatter on his face, clothes, hair and shoes. He walked towards me smirked and pointed the gun to my forehead and he pulled the trigger...

I shot up from bed breathing heavily and sweat slid down from my forehead down to my cheek, Hunter was already awake and it seems he was trying to wake me up from that nightmare.

"Amber are you okay?" He asked concern lacing his facial features. "N... no. I had the worst dream." He moved close to console me as his hand was forming large circles on my back. "I dreamt that I was pregnant and married..." I trailed off trying to remember who the man protecting me was, "... to you." I said looking at him and he looked shocked to say the least. I could see he was trying to form words as his mouth opened and closed.  His mouth finally closed, I guess it's him not choosing to speak so I took that as my que to continue.

"We we're happy together until Johnathan came in in more of a break in situation and I think he set the house on fire. He saw me pregnant and stabbed the unborn child, you came in to help but you were recovering from an injury that you were overpowered by him, he... he killed you and shot me in the head. That's when I woke up." My eyes were flooding with tears endlessly streaming down my cheeks. I tried to wipe them but they came even more. Hunter pulled me into him arms and I couldn't help but weep at that moment. What sacred me was the fact that him and his child both died right in front of my eyes. It was an understatement to say I was scared, I was afraid, horrified by the dream and losing him. The man I worked so hard to make things up with. Dead.

I later calmed down and felt safe in his arms. I felt safe having him next to me protecting me. I just don't want him to end up dead because of my past.

"I don't think we can be together anymore Hunter." He pulled me deeper into him embrace. "Your only saying that because your afraid of the dream you had." That was true but still I don't want him dead. "Don't run away Amber. I'll be here with you always you don't have to go because of that dream you had.  I'm here now, I'm here for you, I'm here to protect you, I'm here to love you wholeheartedly Amber. Don't ever think that dream gives you the right to leave me. Your mine now and there's nothing in this world that can separate the two of us. Okay?" He said consoling me and I nodded in response.

"Come on we're going downstairs. Take the blankets with you." Still sniffing and a bit confused I did as he said taking the blankets downstairs. I found him in the TV room fiddling with the TV. "What are you doing?" I asked him with my reddish eyes. " Sit down. " I did as he said wondering what he was doing.

"I'll be back." He said walking to the kitchen to do whatever he was going to do. That left me to rethink the dream I had, bringing my knees to my chest and hugged them while covered with the blankets I brought.

He came back with two mugs of hot chocolate with marshmallows in them. He handed me one of them and I couldn't believe that he made a smiling emoji on it. It brought a smile on my face I looked up at him with what I call my 'Thank you' smile. I could see the corner of his lip lift up.

He sat down next to me and I saw his mug had squinting eyes and the mouth in a straight line.
(-_-).... (If you didn't get it)

I giggled a bit a that because that the face he makes most of the time. It was just nice to know that he knew what face he usually makes.

He snuggled himself next to me under the blankets. The only things that were showing were our heads. It looked funny from the way it appeared in my mind. If he was the only one here he would look so adorable with the white blankets covering his body but his face, like a baby that was swaddled by his mother. He found me giggling at that idea and looked at me like I was crazy. "What's making you all giggles?"

"Nothing." I said bearely able to hold my smile. I could feel him shrug his shoulders not giving way to my actions. "Moving on, let's watch this movie." I looked at the large screen and I saw the introduction to Titanic.

"I thought you said you would never watch this." I said confused looking at him.

"Yeah well, things change. Plus I wanted to see why women cry when they see this."

I'll need more that hot chocolate for this once in a million moment.

"Morning love bird's. Hope your hungry."

"Morning Rose." I said rubbing my eyes checking the time, it was 7:30 in the morning.

"Sis. I'm glad your making breakfast I am absolutely hungry."

"Yeah, that's all you know. Food." Rose's comment resulted in Hunter making fun of her.

Yeah I could get used to this life, but that dream still lingers at the back of my head and I can't shake the feeling that that was more than just 'a dream'.

Yeah I just had and idea that needed to be down and it had to be dealt with otherwise it won't be as good when I remember it later on.
