Goodbye Chiron

I made it to camp, I saw Chiron in his apartment listening to 60's music.

I peeked my head in, "Chiron?"

"Oh, y/n, nice to see you again."

I was going to ask him about how Clarrise said he was fired but then realized I should tell him that a few injured people are about to arrive at the big house.

"So, there was a battle on the Hill, I'm sorta injured," I said, showing him my arm, which I was hiding, "and we have others on the way, I believe."

"Okay, so go to the room with the beds (▪︎what's that called again?▪︎)
And wrap your arm in a bandage. You know where the supplies are, right?"

"Yeah, thanks, Chiron."

I went to the room with the beds luke he told me to and I grabbed the bandages and started wrapping up my arm, then I heard some talking going on, kinda sounded lime an argument, apparently Percy and Annabeth have showed up and are talking to Chiron.

I finished wrapping my arm, i didn't think I would need nectar for it. It wasn't that bad, i believe.

I could hear Percy, Annabeth, and Chiron talking. I didn't want to listen in. It felt disrespectful.

I quickly walked out of the big house and went to cabin 3, trying not to be really noticed by other campers.

I luckily wasn't spotted. Everyone at camp was busy with their duties.

I looked around and saw a note where I'd slept last year. I walked over to the bed and looked at the note.

"
Dear Y/n,

I wish you could be here, helping me with Chloe, but I know you have to be there at camp. I just wanted to let you know that everything will be just fine here at home, and I wanted to tell you to stay safe. Please don't get stung by a scorpiam again. Anyway, I have to go help Chloe, see you at the end of summer.

          Love y/m/n (your mom's name)
"

I set the note down.

"Hello?" Percy asks, knocking on the cabin wall, which terrified me.

I jump and turn around.

"God's, Percy, don't do that," I say.

"Anyways, Chirons gone, he told me to tell you to be careful with the new activities director."

"Why would I have to be careful?"

"I assume the new activities director might not like the whole two godly parents thing."

"True."

LATER THAT EVENING

The sun was setting, and all the cabins came out.

We watched as all the cabins filed in.

Then the Hermes cabin came in, except this year it wasn't led by Luke.

I just looked away.

Then, I looked at the new bandage I'd put on my arm. At least it covered up the scar.

I mean, I wasn't happy about this whole thing in general. Chiron was officially fired. We were getting a new camp activities director.

Well, I guess he already came.

Where Chiron usually sat was a person in a prison jumpsuit. Okay, so Chirons replacement is a prisoner. No wonder Chron warned me to be careful.

Then Mr.D came out in his usual outfit, a Hawaiian shirt.

"Well, if it isn't  Peter Johnson and (a horrible nickname of yours).

I rolled my eyes.

"Percy Jackson, sir."

"Well, yes, as you young kids say nowadays."

Dionysius takes a sip of his Coke.

"Those two," Dionysius said to the prisoner dude, "You need to watch out for them, especially the girl."

"Ah, those two," the prisoner says, pointing to us, "I am Tantalus." He gave us a cold grin. God's I was gonna hate this guy.

TIME SKIP A LITTLE

Percy was standing up to Tantalus.

The satyers were warning us by shaking their heads.

"I'll be watching you, Percy Jackson," Tantalus said, still staring coldly at Percy, then Tantalus looked at me.

"Now, why were you so special again?" He asked.

I didn't respond.

"Hellooo, I asked you a question," and snapped his fingers in my face to get my attention. I flinched.

"Two godly parents," I murmured.

"What was that?"

"I have two godly parents," I say a little louder.

"Hm, interesting, so Poseidon and-"

"Poseidon and Aphrodite."

"I will have to keep a big eye on you, little miss," he said and walked away.

I looked around at all the camp members, slightly embarrassed, they were all staring at me.

The rest of the time wasn't that fun.

I felt lots of stares, and I did my offering, even though I wasn't grateful at all.

The Tantalus called that he was going to try to keep camp traditions running, like that's going to work. And that we brought Tyson here.

"And, Poseidons daughter, lastly, you get one more night in posidons cabin, your moving to Aphrodites cabin tommorow."

He was clearly talking about me.

The Aphrodite cabin started complaining, and man, I didn't want to either.

The while quad, minus Aphrodite cabin, and some friends of mine all started laughing hysterically.

I just gave Tantalus the death stare, I'm very good at that.

We went back to our cabins, and Tyson didn't come back with us. He was moving into the cabin tomorrow.

"Let me guess, your bot happy about moving into Aphrodites cabin."

"Take your guess."

I laid on the bottom bunk, and Percy was on the top.

"I mean, what does the Aphrodite cabin do, I mean, clean and make sure they look good. That's not me. This Tantalus guy is not making my life any easier."

"Nope, I wish Chiron was here."

"Same."

I absolutely hated Tantalus in the book, so he's an unlikable character. I mean, he's supposed to be, I guess.
