Jaesuk never expected that answer and was laughing so hard including all the members while Jaerim was turning red and covered her face with the cue card but Mingyu who just dropped a bomb was still smiling from ear to ear
"I mean, no one will deny that Jaerim-ssi is beautiful"
More chaos. Scoups was a little worried for Mingyu because even though he might be joking, some sensitive people would not be having it and hoping for the best and even wished that the production team would edit it out but they know it would not be edited out because this type of small interaction can cause a huge sensation.
Seungkwan immediately went to the main camera with a shock face "Dispatch!! Please check on Mingyu-hyung!!"
The production team were beyond happy as they found a stroking piece to strike the internet , they could see the members and their channel trending so they were now focusing on Mingyu and Jaerim.
Jaerim was so shy that she stood up and walked towards the wall and hide her face as Jaesuk came to bring her back to her seat "Jaerim-ah, how do you feel? Do you want to say anything to Mingyu?"
Jaerim side-eye Jaesuk who acted like he didn't do anything and could see her whole career flashing in her eyes but she had to maintain professionalism, she could barely look at Mingyu and just nodded her head "It's already a fact that Mingyu-sunbaenim is a nice guy and the dream of many girls and CARAT out there"
"Then what about you Jaerim-ssi?" Jeonghan being a menace, he didn't even hesitate. Jaerim was flustered enough so she spoke nothing but gave a deep bow towards Mingyu while the whole set exploded in laughter.
"For the first time in national television, an idol star Kim Mingyu was rejected!" Hoshi knew how to strike while the iron is hot and so he did. The staffs made a mental note to use that as a thumbnail or the video's title. Fans all around are surely gonna love it. Being a senior artist does give you some confidence to break some stereotypes and bringing back the old interaction from the 1st generation.
Mingyu was still having a smug smile playing on his lips but his eyes? Only DK knew his expression and the two whispered something to each other as they laughed at each other while the rest moved on with the show.
Soon, the interview came to an end so the members stood together as they strike an ending pose with Jaesuk and Jaerim as the centre. To make it more funny, the members made Mingyu stand next to Jaerim as they take photo together and the director shouted "CUT" and the shooting came to an end.
"Everyone, thank you for your hardwork"
The crews and artist wished each other as they started packing up while Jaerim also headed back to her green room. She took her phone and clicked some selfies with the cue card to upload on Instagram later for promotion of the video and to give the fans a little trailer.
Jaerim's personal manager informed her that she don't have any schedules and is free to go home which made Jaerim happy because it's been few weeks since she barely had free time. She decided to go back by herself and enjoy her small time by getting some boba tea on the way so she told the manager that she'd go back by herself.
She decided not to remove the make up because the make up artist did a simple neutral light make-up which wasn't a heavy stage make up so she changed into her simple dark green cargo skirt with a white lace trim crop knit tank top with her favourite comfortable shoes.
She thanked the staffs and made her way to the underground parking lot which she parked her car. She put on her cap and a mask and walked until she saw the SVT members on their way towards their car so, as a formalities, she instantly greeted them.
"Have a great night ahead"
"You too Jaerim-ssi, we're rooting for your comeback"
She bowed at the members and made her way towards her car which wasn't that far as she look for her keys to unlock the car "Jaerim-ssi?"
Jaerim stopped her tracks and turned around to see a very familiar face. It was Mingyu. Earlier when they were in set, he looked so good with the suit and was like straight out of a CEO-novel, like those tycoons CEO but now, with his black hoodie and a white sweatpants. He looks more natural and as usual, he is still handsome.
"I know it's kind of weird, but earlier during the shoot, I blurted out those words so it might have made you uncomfortable. I apologise for that"
Aw, what a gentleman he is.
Jaerim just smiled "No worries, sunbae-nim. It's at least good for publicity for the channel and I don't mind it's okay"
"Thank god, but I meant those words"
"Hah?"
Did Jaerim hallucinate or was she hearing things, she look at Mingyu to see if he was joking but indeed he wasn't. She couldn't say anything at this moment and her words stuck at her throat.
