June 2018

Liam sat on the couch and stared ahead as Modern Family played on the TV. Allen and Maureen were once again gone for the day, and Parker was upstairs sleeping off his hangover. Liam was avoiding me. I know he was. When I thanked him for getting Parker to let go of me yesterday, he didn't respond. He just went back upstairs and stayed in his room for the rest of the night. When I texted him last night and again this morning, he didn't reply. And now he sat on the leather couch, wrapped in a green blanket, and ignored me as I sat on the recliner near him. I nervously fidgeted my fingers while occasionally glancing up at him. I eventually could no longer handle the silence.

"Liam..." I said softly.

I knew he heard me. Because I saw his eyes glance over at me real quick before turning his attention back to the TV.

"Liam." I said again, this time more sternly. Nothing.

I accepted defeat and was prepared to get up and leave before Liam asked me,

"Is Wyatt single, by any chance?"

I felt my heart sink. Well this was an interesting way of finding out something new about Liam. Of course he would be into Wyatt. I mean, who wouldn't be? Wyatt was beautiful: chiseled cheekbones, a sharp jawline, olive skin, hazel eyes, a perfect nose adorned with a silver ring on his right nostril, and to top it off, he could sing and play multiple instruments. He was smart. He was popular. He was outgoing. All the girls at school fawned over him. All the guys at school wanted to be him. And then there was me, his weird, quiet, twin sister who stayed in his shadow. I was nothing compared to him.

"Yes, he is single. But I hate to break it to you, he doesn't swing that way." I informed Liam, hoping that my words hurt him the way his question hurt me.

Liam's eyes never left the TV. He showed no emotion. And in all honesty, it was starting to seriously irk me.

I rose to my feet and made my way over to him and stood in front of him.

"Move." He said bluntly.

"Not until you tell me why you've been ignoring me since last night. I haven't done anything wr-"

Liam threw the blanket off and stood, towering over me.

"That's the issue I have! You weren't doing anything!" He said to me.

I stared up at him in confusion, feeling vulnerable as his gaze met mine.

"What are you talking about?" I asked.

"Parker had you pinned against that wall, on the verge of cumming his pants, and you were just standing there and letting it happen." He responded.

Was he serious?

"I told him to get off me!" I spat back at him.

"Oh, please! You could easily beat his ass! I know you could! But you were choosing not to! Just admit it, you wanted him!"

"Why the hell do you care so much?" I was on the verge of screaming at this point.

Liam's eyes widened briefly before he glared.

"Because he is in a relationship! We both know this, Winter! Megan is your friend! And the fact that you were fully prepared to fuck her boyfriend is absolutely cruel!"

"I was NOT going to fuck him!"

"You sure as hell looked like you wanted to!"

"You don't know shit, Liam! You didn't see shit!"

"I saw enough!" Liam's voice boomed throughout the house.

I stepped away from Liam and felt the hot tears forming in my eyes.
