Leaving Dragonstone was harder than leaving king's landing. Gael had missed her mother and brothers so much. And yet she had left them again, even days after returning to king's landing she would continue missing them.
Gael couldn't help but re-read the letters she had from her mother. She couldn't imagine how others did it. At least Helaena had married without having to leave her family.
Gael sighed as she put the letters down on her desk looking at the man who had just entered.
"Niece" Aemond greets her looking at the letters that cover her desk "Helaena has been asking for you"
"I'm about to retire for the night" The girl lies as she looks at Aemond "You may go"
"You are my niece and wife. If something is wrong you can tell me"
Gael rolls her eyes as Aemond pulls a chair over and sits down "You've been rotting in these chambers for three days, Niece"
"Some people do miss their family, Aemond"
Aemond sighs "Even Aegon has asked for you"
"Aegon?"
Aemond hums as he watches Gael furrowed her brows. Making Aemond realise this is the first time Aegon has pestered about her. It was different when Helaena asked for their niece. Helaena rarely spoke to anyone but him and Gael.
And the one eyed prince saw the way Helaena adored there niece, in a very different way then he did "Helaena went on a flight with me"
Gael sits up her full attention now on her husband and what he had just said "Since when did you fly with anyone but yourself"
"It was once, Helaena wanted to go on a fly"
"Now I just feel left out" She mutters pouting like a little girl.
"You wouldn't have gone to see those batsar-" He pauses reshaping his words "Those brothers of yours. You'd stay just to go flying with her"
"Of course I would and You may go now Aemond"
"Niec-"
"You may be my husband but when I say go, you go"
"Goodnight Gael"
"Goodnight Aemond" She whispers back watching him leave.

When Gael finally did leave her chambers it was only so he could go on a short flight. She still felt homesick.
She had spent one night on dragonstone and somehow she missed it even more than she did before.
Well at least she had one thing from dragonstone that would never leave her.....Attor her dragon.
She sighed as she walked back into the castle and quickly rushed up the stairs to where the greens and herself stayed. She just hoped no one would try to stop her and speak to her.
She had managed to do just that up until the moment she went to reach for her chamber door. As soon as she heard the person speak she groaned.
She turned around and looked at her uncle "Uncle"
"You've been back days and yet my sister hasn't sent you to speak to me" Aegon muttered as she furrowed her brows "You have spoken to Helaena since you returned. She is far better company then that husband of yours"
"I can't say i have uncle"
"That's not like you dear niece"
"Nor is you talking to me" She suggested "Why are you outside my chambers, uncle"
"I just wished to speak to you"
"About what"
"I-"
"Well"
"I actually done have a reason"
"Of course not, you just wish to annoy Aemond"
"Most days, but not today Gael" Aegon stated as she looked around the hall "What are you doing"
"Checking if the maester is nearby"
The prince looks at her in confusion "Are you hurt"
"No but have you hit your head at all today"
"No" He muttered realising she was messing around with him "That was not funny Gael"
"Nor is you being nice"
"You know I can be nice to those I like"
"Oh so you like me now"
"I-"
"You know what I think I shall see Helaena today, you are right about one thing" She pauses "Your wife is far better company then Aemond"
He watches as she walks past him "Gael"
She stops turning to look at him "Yes uncle"
"Helaena may be better company during the day, but i assure you i-"
"Finish that sentence and see what happens"
"Just as Helaena" He grinned as she sent him a glare "Nevermind"

Gael walked into Helaenas chambers as she always does.
She grins as her eyes go onto Helaena who is sat with Jaehaera in her arms.
Gael then looks over at one of Helaenas lady’s who holds Jaehaeras twin.
“May I? ” Gael spoke up waiting for Helaena to say something but all he gets is a small nod.
Gael smiles once more as the ladys hands her Jaehaerys.
“He’s such a sweet boy” Gael whispers as she places a kiss on Jaehaerys head.
Helaena watches as her niece walks around holding her son in her arms "You'll have one of your own soon"
Gael hums not fully listening to what her aunt said. Although she knew what her duty meant, she knew what everyone expected from her marraige to Aemond.
Alicent and even her own mother wanted an heir to follow. Yet did it count if she felt like Jaehaerys and Jaehaera were all she needed
An - Shortish chapter as I have the proper plot starting in the next
Also Gael would be such a sweet aunt who spoiled the twins
