Part 2

General POV

The next day, Reene woke up to the morning sunlight shining through the window and on her face. Oscar purposely open the window blinds just to wake Reene up because she cannot be waken easily.

"Goodmorning my sunshine! Wake up. I prepared breakfast for us." he greeted.

"5 more minutes, please?" Reene pleaded.

"Hmm. The food will get cold. Besides, don't you have some work to do with your client today?"

Reene's eyes widened as she remembers his client yesterday. She was suppose to meet him again today.
She immediately grab her phone on her night stand to check. As soon as she opened it, she saw a missed call and an email message from her client.

Via E-mail:

"Hey, Reene! This is Ken. I hope this email finds you well.  I would like to say that as your client, I appreciate your dedication and bright ideas about our project. You're full of insights. It's all good and great. Unfortunately, I'd like to inform you that I'm cancelling my business with you because of some private matters that I can't disclose to anyone right now. I'm sorry for the inconvenience that this may cause you. Rest assure that all the exclusive matters between our meetings will remain exclusive and private. Have a great day a head."

Reene's POV

I was shocked and confused about what I've just read. Why is Mr. Ken suddenly cancelling his business with me? Did I do something wrong? What could be the reason? I tried contacting him but he's not answering right know.

I was in deep thought that I didn't notice Oscar entering the room carrying a tray of food.

"Here's your breakfast, my love!" He excitedly said.

"Thank you." I answered.

"Are you okay? What's the matter?" He asks as soon as he noticed my mood.

"My client, he just cancelled on me."

"What? Why? Did you talk to him? Why did he do that?" he asked.

"I don't know. He just emailed me and then poof! Project cancelled. I tried calling him back but he's not answering me."

As I said my words, Oscar sat beside me and hugged me, trying to give me comfort.

"Hey, don't feel bad. Maybe he has his reasons. Besides, he's not the only client in this world. You can get new ones.

His words calms me. I think that's all I need. I hugged him back, we shared kisses before we proceed on eating our breakfast in bed.

Fastforward........

It's afternoon. Oscar goes to work and I was alone in the living room watching tv. I don't have anything to do today since my client cancelled on me. I'm not in a good mood but being comfortable of what I'm doing right now makes me feel relaxed at some point.

As I was watching, my phone suddenly vibrates. I was hoping that it might be Mr. Ken answering my inquiries but I was wrong. It came from an unknown number.

Unknown: Hi, Reene!  I hope you can still remember me. Please reply if you do. I got your number from a friend.

I was confused with the text that I received. I was about to reply to ask who this person is when suddenly, I received another text message from the number.

Unknown: By the way, this is Keta. :)

My eyes widened. Keta, my highschool friend texted me. This is random. We've never had a contact since he moved in to Holland to continue his studies, to work, and for good. I got excited and texted him back.
