We're back! I think I'm going to try adding the questions back at the end...
Anyways, this is a new ship but one of my favorites! I do have a planned book for this ship so if you like it as well and enjoy my writing it should be out within a year or so. It might take a bit of time since I have like 20+ book drafts and I usually write 5 chapters before publishing the book...
Hope y'all enjoy!

Nico stood behind the counter, quickly writing down the women's order. He had hoped for a calm shift but instead, he got stuck working by himself during one of the busiest times of the day.
He wouldn've been fine if the two worst scenarios weren't occurring at the same time. He could handle the rush hour when he had someone else to help him. He could handle being on his own, serving only a handful of people. But he couldn't handle taking orders AND making drinks while the line just kept getting bigger and bigger and the people started getting angrier and angrier as they waited in line.
Luckily, the rush hour was beginning to end and the customers were slowly thinning though it didn't help Nico's stress much.
The tiny bells attached to the door jingled, announcing yet another customer.
Nico made the womans drink before quickly moving on to the next customer.
"What can I get you?" Nico asked, cringing at the monotoned sound of his voice. His eyes were on the pad of paper in his hands instead of looking at the customer.
"Uh- I was just wondering where Annabeth was?" The customer asked and Nico glanced up, his eyes meeting sea-green ones, "we were supposed to hang out after her shift."
The "customer," was a tall guy about the same age as Nico with tanned olive skin and messy black hair. Something about him made Nico feel comfortable immediately as if the two had been friends for years instead of just meeting that day.
Realizing he had been staring, Nico cleared his throat, his voice coming out more lively than it had been all day, "She had to take a call so she's in the back right now."
The guy smiled and Nico's legs almost gave out, "cool, my names Percy by the way."
"Can I get you something to eat or drink while you wait?" Nico asked his gaze moving back to the pad of paper in his hands as he allowed himself to switch back to his usual dull voice.
Percy was quiet for a moment and Nico instinctively looked up. The taller man frowned as he stared at the menu behind Nico.
After a moment, Percy sighed and flashed Nico a small, apologetic smile, "I'm dyslexic so I can't read the menu."
"Oh- You can just tell me what you want and i'll do my best to make it," Nico offered and Percy blinked.
Percy thought for a moment before saying, "could I have a blue raspberry Italian soda with cream and whipped cream please?"
Nico nodded, typed in the order and once Percy had paid, began on his drink.
There was shuffling behind him, causing Nico to jump when he glanced behind him to see Annabeth retying her apron.
Annabeth looked up and smiled at Nico, "hey, sorry I left you. I can take orders and you can make the drinks? Or the other way around, whichever you prefer."
Nico nodded his head towards where Percy was standing and Annabeth grinned when she saw him.
"Hey seaweed brain!" She called to him and Percy's head snapped up, his grin matching Annabeth's.
Annabeth ducked under the table separating the baristas from the customers and ran to give Percy a hug. Nico noticed the two of them glance at him as they exchanged words quietly.
Rolling his eyes, Nico placed Percy's drink on the pick-up area and went to take the next customers order.
Noticing his drink, Percy made his way over and grabbed the cup, turning to Nico, his cheeks slightly red, "thanks uh-"
"Nico," Annabeth whispered to Percy.
"Nico," Percy copied, his blush growing.
After a moment of awkward silence, Annabeth sighed in exasperation, turning to Percy and saying, "this is hard to watch."
"Hey!" exclaimed Percy and Nico looked back and forth between the two of them, confused.
"Just give him your number," Annabeth replied, handing Percy a pad of paper and a pen she had used for taking orders, "before I do it for you."
With a frown, Percy scribbled down his number, tore off the paper and handed it to Nico before turning and walking out the door.
"Sorry about him," Annabeth mused, "he may seem all confident but when it comes to talking to cute boys, he's completely clueless."
She turned to leave but stopped and looked at Nico, "that was his way of asking you out by the way."
"Oh," was all Nico could think to say as he watched her follow Percy out the door.
~The End~
How are we feeling abt that one-shot?
I started writing it in Percy's POV but then switched to Nicos so it took me a lot longer than I had expected.
Anyways,
Q: What're your plans for the summer?
A: I'm pretty much just staying home and working...
