Chapter 1 ~ introduction

The gravel crumbled under the tires as my mom pulled up on our driveway, we had to buy a new house when my biological mom died and moved to this creepy street, Cragmire. Mom said I had to switch schools.

I'm not good at making friends but at least I get a fresh start and no one knows about my reputation.

"Kate, Come and help me bring the luggage in from the car!" Londyn yelled. Londyn is my step mom. She married my dad after my biological mom died when I was 5, all I have left from her is a picture of her holding me in my old baby blanket, it was pink and blue polka dotted.

"Hurry Kate! It's supposed to rain tonight". "Great", I said in an irritated voice.

After I unpacked my new room it looked smaller than when it had all the boxes in it, but it did have some good potential to look amusing. I set my alarm for 7:30, which is later than usual.

It was actually a good thing because I needed all the sleep I could get or else I could be the worst person to be around. This school (River Valley College) couldn't be as bad as I thought it was, even though

I'm not so fond of the uniforms, the casual private school outfit, a white dress shirt with a black knitted sweater vest with the school's logo on it, it was a tree with some type of bird flying above it.

Something looked familiar but I couldn't quite figure out where I had seen it. I had to wear a maroon, white, and black plaid and striped skirt. It wasn't my thing but it wasn't the worst thing ever.

It still had its perks, like I didn't have to stress about picking out an outfit everyday, but... That was about it. The last year I hadn't done so well in bruh math or French so I thought hopefully I'd keep my grades up this year.

I said I would try my best to keep my grades above the passing grade, even if it means not dating, or falling in love. Speaking of that, I wondered if there are any cute boys there.
