Chapter 9: It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas

December ~ Kie's Pov:

"Guys we did it! Where rich! Where kooks!" JJ cheered as he picked me up and spun me around, then bringing me back down to feet and bringing me and the others pouges into a group hug, where all of us had big smiles on our face and laughing like where 5.

" Time to go on a shopping spree!" Sarah said as she shakes the car keys and throws them to John B. Everyone got in the Twinkie and we started to head towards downtown Charleston where they have a shopping strip.

Once we got on the road we had around a 30 minute drive to the downtown area. Everyone was talking about how happy they were about having so much money. I couldn't stop thinking about how with this money I could make sure I never have to move in with my parents again, and how I could potentially get myself out of going to boarding school or a camp for troubled teens again. I also was thinking about all the Christmas decorations I could get for the house, and all of the cool Christmas gifts I would get for everyone. Eventually it got a little hard to hear my own thoughts with John B blasting it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas, as we drove into downtown Charleston that was decorated from head to toe for Christmas.

I had a smile pasted on my face that you couldn't erase unless you were going to give me the worst news in the world. I was ecstatic, after all the hard work we had put into this treasure hunt, and all the times we had risked our life's had finally paid off.

JJ had placed his hand on my upper thigh as we drove deeper into the city to try to find a place to park the Twinkie. Then Sarah squealed loudly as she pointed out the window, "Guys look it's snowing!"

I looked out the car window to see small flurry's pour out of the sky and land on the black concrete roads along the colorful old houses in old Charleston. Snow was very rare for Charleston so we were all even happier that it was actually snowing in December, it really made it feel extra Christmasy. " Well I'm glad I brought my coat." Pope said like he was trying to brag in a sarcastic way.

A few minutes later we had finally found a parking spot and got out of the car and started to head into the shopping area of the city. JJ started to follow me, Sarah, and Cleo. " Hey you can't follow us, I'm going to get you a present and I don't want you to find out what it is." I said playfully while laughing a bit.

" Yeah sho, go hang out with the boys you guys need to get us presents." Cleo said making shooing motions with her hands, like she was trying to shoo away a pesky fly.

" Alright, alright I'll go with Pope and John B. I guess someone has to tell them what to get for everyone." JJ laughed, as he turned around to start walking with them.

We had finally made it to our first store where we were going to buy decor for the house. " Do you guys think we should buy a bigger house so we could all live together?" Sarah asked out of the blue.

" Wait, that's actually such a good idea. We could like each have our own areas of the house and then the main areas where everyone hangs out. We should totally ask the boys about it. It could be like a big château. Oh and maybe we could build it where the old chateau was, like give it a renovation or something like that." I raved, as I looked through all of the beautiful Christmas decorations.

" Yess!" Cleo said and then pointed at a large fake green Christmas tree, with colorful light bulbs dangling on the tree, and small specks of white on the tips of the fake pine needles that I guess are to represent snow. " We should get this for the condo."
