Felix hadn't wanted to stay in Caelym any longer after they rescued Eowyn, but they still had yet to find the clue that their parents had left behind. Once everyone was well rested, they resumed their search of the kingdom.

Felix wanted to get out of there as soon as possible. He hadn't felt safe last night, even with the nocturnal members of their group keeping watch, as he was too worried about Valerian. Even if the human hadn't come for them while they were sleeping, there was still too much chance that he could come for them now. There was absolutely no doubt that Valerian had discovered Eowyn's disappearance by now.

If they wanted to leave soon, they would have to find the clue fast, but their parents would have hidden it so well that it wouldn't have been found by the wrong person, which meant it might take them hours to find it.

However, the crew got lucky. It wasn't even one of them that found it. It was Atlas.

Felix had been in the rubble of the throne room, looking for the clue while also keeping an eye on the children, when Atlas had wandered behind the throne and found a mysterious button. Being the curious child he is, he pressed the button and a compartment in the wall opened up, revealing a leatherbound book.

Felix called the crew into the room and Chan was the first one in. He picked the book up and gasped out loud. Felix looked over, worried.

"It's- It's another of my mother's journals!" Chan shouted. Felix let himself relax when he realized that Chan wasn't in any danger. The vampire was holding up another leather journal, this one without any name on the front. It looked just like the other journals, except this one was a lot less worn as if Kalina hadn't had this one as long as the others.

Chan handed the journal to Felix, silently pleading with his eyes for Felix to translate it. Felix took the journal with a small smile, opening it up to the first page.
