As the battle continues to rage around the core, Pietro swiftly carries Milana away, his speed creating a blur of motion. He brings her to one of the rescue boats, ready to take civilians to safety. "Steve," Pietro calls out, "look after Milana while I make sure there's nobody else left on the island."
Steve nods, moving to stand protectively by Milana. "I'll keep her safe," he promises, his eyes filled with determination.
Milana, however, catches sight of Clint in the distance, cradling a small child. Her heart races as she sees Ultron piloting a Quinjet, spraying bullets indiscriminately at everyone still on the floating rock. Panic grips her, and she makes a snap decision. "Steve, I have to help them," she says urgently, starting to move.
Before she can take more than a few steps, Pietro speeds over to Clint and the child, his intention clear. Milana watches in horror as the Quinjet's bullets rip through the air. Time seems to slow down as she sees Pietro's body jerk from the impact of the bullets. He mutters something she can't hear before collapsing to the ground, covered in bullet holes.
"No!" Milana screams, her voice piercing the chaos. The sound is almost deafening, a raw expression of her grief and horror. Her emotions surge, causing a massive wave of energy to erupt from her, disintegrating the few robots around her in an instant.
She falls to her knees, sobbing uncontrollably. Steve rushes to her side, his face etched with concern and sorrow. "Milana," he says gently, trying to reach through her agony, "I'm so sorry."
Milana's tears flow freely as she clutches at the ground, her whole body shaking. "He can't be gone," she whispers, her voice broken. "He can't be."
Steve runs over to the scene, looking at Clint with sorrow in his eyes as he picks up Pietro's lifeless body, trying his hardest not to cry from Milana's screams from the boat and Wanda's matching screams coming from the church.
Milana's wails pierce the air as Steve gently carries Pietro's lifeless body to the rescue boat. Her sobs intensify as she sees her brother's pale, motionless face. Kneeling beside him, she tenderly kisses his forehead, her tears mingling with the dirt and blood. She feels like an utter failure for not being able to protect him, for not saving him from this fate.
"I'm so sorry, Pietro," she whispers through her tears, shutting his blue eyes one last time. "I couldn't save you."
Steve stands nearby, his heart aching for her. He tries to comfort her, but she resists, pulling away from his touch. "No! I can't stay here! I need to find Wanda." she screams, her voice raw with pain.
Steve grabs her arm, holding her back with a firm grip. "Milana, no. I can't lose you too," he says, his voice breaking with emotion.
Milana looks at him, confused and overwhelmed by grief. "What do you mean?" she asks, her voice trembling. But there's no time for Steve to explain as the floating island begins to plummet towards the ground, looking almost like a meteor hurtling through the sky.
Panic and despair grip Milana as she thinks of Wanda, imagining her sister also lost to the chaos. She tries to break free from Steve's hold, but he refuses to let her go. "We have to get out of here. Trust me, Milana. Wanda will be okay," he says, his eyes pleading.
The island shoots downward, the speed and force causing massive destruction. The ground below looks like a target for a massive catastrophe. Milana's heart breaks even more, the thought of losing Wanda almost too much to bear.
Suddenly, in the midst of the chaos, there's a massive explosion. Tony Stark and Thor, working in unison, unleash a powerful blast that blows the island apart, preventing it from crashing into the earth and causing unimaginable devastation. The fragments of the island disintegrate in mid-air, raining down harmlessly.
