"Chalein"My heart thudded in my ribcage, my face drained of color, when he mentioned home. How will I face his family? What will they say when I tell them I am a victim of physical abuse? I know this is not new to me; perhaps I have learned to endure this pain for the past ten years. I have learned how to conceal my pain behind a facade of a smile. Though I don't have the courage to tell them about my traumatic life. What if they find out about my broken life? What if they feel disgusted by me, thinking that I have a problem within myself? A shiver runs down my spine, and goosebumps erupt on my skin thinking of this.
"Sona" I flinched; my chain of thoughts broke when Saransh Ji called me.
"Huh"
"What are you thinking" He asked, cupping my cheeks.
"Mujhe ghar nahi jaana hai" I said meekly, averting my gaze a tears welled up my eye. He stared at me knitting his eyebrows.
(I don't want to go home)
"What" He asked, glancing at me, dumbfounded.
"Look at me" He commanded, I flinched. His voice was cold and distant; a shiver ran through my core.
Glancing my teary orbs at him, his gaze softened. 'Do you trust me, Sona?' he asked with a glint of hope in his eyes. I nodded abruptly and glanced back at him.
"Then why don't you want to go tell me hmm" he coos, tucking my hair strand behind the ear.
"Wo.....Your parents, what will they think about me?" I stammered, gulping the lump in my throat.
"Shhh....koi kuch nahi kahega main hoona tumhare saath"assuring he squeezed my palms firmly.
(no one will say anything i am with you)
" But.... Sara.... " He hushed, placing his finger on my lips.
" Tho chalein" He said holding my hand. Nodding I stood up from the bed abruptly. I hissed when jolt of pain rush through my body.
"Careful" he grunted, holding my forearm.A gasp escaped my mouth as he lifted me like a feather in his arms. "Sar... Saransh ji, put me down!" I whispered loudly in his ears, shrugging off his shoulder as he carried me through the hospital corridor.
"Sar......"
"Shh don't be noisy shut up " He glared hard at me, i gulped glancing his eyes.
Coming out of the hospital arjun bhaiya was standing leaning against the car scrolling through his phone, he smirked glancing at us, an embarrassment washed over me I buried my face in the crook of his neck, he chuckled glancing at me.
He made me sit in the backseat and sat beside me. Pulling down the partition of the car, he yanked me and ended up with me on his lap. I rested my head on his chest.
