"Baby, baby get up, you know how I feel about you over sleeping."
Ella groaned and turned away from Karla, forcing her hand off of her in the process.
Karla sighed softly and gently pinched Ella's side, but when her girlfriend didn't budge, she pinched harder.
"Ow!"
Ella jumped, sitting up and scooting back, distancing herself from the woman and then taking in her surroundings.
"You carried me to bed?"
"I did."
"You pinched me?"
"I did."
"You pinched me."
Karla laughed and nodded.
"Yes honey I did."
"That's not very nice."
"You rolling away from me wasn't very nice either."
"Well excuse me for being sleepy!"
"Hey, no need to raise your voice, I just wanted you to take your medicine and then I was going to let you rest."
"Oh, um, sorry"
"That's alright, can you take it please?"
Ella nodded obediently, she hated the dark liquid but she knew if she didn't take it she'd regret it.
"Say ah."
"Ahhh"
Karla quickly shoved the spoon in Ella's mouth, waiting for her to tip her head back before she removed it.
"Good?"
"Mm mmm"
Ella's face bawled up in disgust, she quickly downed one of the water bottles she kept on her nightstand to get rid of the taste.
"Can I go back to sleep now?"
"Um, actually honey I need to talk to you about something."
"Oh? What is it? Did I do something?"
"Calm down mi amor, you didn't do anything wrong."
"So what is it?"
"Last night, you said something, and I want to know if you want to use it in our everyday lives or just when I'm giving you mariposas"
Ella blushed at the last part, ducking her head down in embarrassment because she already knew exactly what Karla was talking about.
"Um, I don't know what you're-"
"You're a horrible liar so why don't you just answer my question hm?"
"I really don't-"
Karla tilted her head, a warm smile on her lips.
"You know baby, I could always give you a little refresher."
"Oh no you don't have to-"
"Something along the lines of ma-"
"Okay! I, yes I know I said that, I, I can't help it, you just make me feel so safe, and you're so pretty and I- it slipped out!"
Karla let out a hearty chuckle and kissed her girlfriend's forehead.
"You're adorable, and I love it when you call me that, I love it"
"You do?"
"Of course I do, it lets me know you feel safe with me, and it's hot when you say it"
