I slowly opened my eyes. Why do all of these things keep happening to me? I tried to move, to look beside me but I couldn't budge. I looked down at my left arm. It had a large white bandage wrapped around it.
I looked through our groups minds and found two that I didn't recognize. I quickly asked Judith in my mind, Judith I'm awake. Who are these new people? It was silent for a short moment. Anna! I coming in a second, hold on. She literally meant a second because she was at my side in a flash.
"Are you feeling better?" She asked. I nodded, "Who are the new people?" Judith looked to the left and then bit her lip, "I know this sounds crazy...but they are vampires too...like I mean vampire, vampires not Dhampires like us. I read their thoughts when they came here."
I nodded, "What are their names?" Judith pulled a chair up beside me, "Jenna and Stefan." I sat up the best I could, "Can I meet them?"
She bit her lip again. I knew she was hiding something from me. "They're kind of...strange."
"How?" I asked.
"I'll explain later. Carl's coming." I turned around and saw Carl walking toward me with a grim expression on his face. He looked different. He was taller, really pale like Judith and I, he had crimson red eyes, and he was way more muscular than he used to be.
"What's wrong with him?" I asked Judith quietly. She looked down at the ground. Judith? What's going on?
Well, one of the new vampires, Jenna...She caught Carl's scent and it was too late for me to stop her... She looked up at me as if I understood and then quickly realized that I was confused. "She turned Carl into a vampire by...biting his arm."
I gasped and then stared at her and then over to Carl. My eyes started to tear up, "He's a-" my voice cracked. "This can not happen...No!" I pulled legs to my chest and buried my head between them. "Anna...he's still the same old Carl." Judith guaranteed. I shook my head as I sobbed. Carl came over in time to find me pouring out my tears.
"Anna, are you okay?" I shook my head no and then stared up at him. He didn't look so much different as he did before. His hair was still the same dark brown color and he still had the same features. Except for the fact his irises were red and he was pale white. He looked so much like Judith now, you could actually tell they were related.
"Does he have any abilities like us?" I asked Judith even though Carl was standing right there. She nodded, "He can compel minds. I figured it out yesterday." I looked back at Carl, who was smirking.
"I am not happy about this right now. She shouldn't have changed you." Carl's smirk faded and was replaced with a scowl. "But I'm like you now."
I huffed and then got off of the table. "I'm going to get a water." I walked into the kitchen and pulled a bottled water out of the supply bag. I felt a presence behind me and quickly turned around.
"Hi." An unfamiliar girl said. "Um...Hey." I responded. Then it hit me and I got angry. "You're the one who turned my boyfriend into a vampire!" I yelled. "I didn't mean to...I couldn't stop from attacking him." Jenna firmly said.
I growled at her. She crouched and hissed at me. I lunged but she sped behind me before I could even attack. Jenna clenched my hurt arm with all her strength. I was sure the bone was broken.
I have screamed but still tried to fight back. I turned around and nailed her in the face with my fist. She stumbled backwards and held her nose. I knew I had broken it. Jenna put it back into place and then it healed. My mouth dropped open. I got back into my crouching position and my eyes narrowed.
