Chapter 11 - The Party

In the middle of 'The Underworld'

Classic music is being played in the Ballroom filled with around 100 People.

Ruby is walking down the stairs of the Ballroom with Lyle next to her, holding his arm.

Lyle whispers in her ear: "Don't be nervous and remember what we taught you."

Ruby breathes in and out and then quietly says: "OK Oppa. Is there anyone I have to watch out for?"

Lyle looks around slowly and whispers back: "No you don't have to worry I made sure to only invite people from the age of 20 to 31.  And there are a few kids."

They reach the end of the stairs and Lyle waves at a worker. She comes over with a whine glass and a small spoon.

Lyle knocks the spoon at the glass a few times until everyone looks at them.

Lyle smiles and says: "Hello everyone thank you for coming. Let me introduce Rudbeckia Eloise Daughtler."

Ruby smiles. "She will create a new Mafia House, that the Seymour House will sponsor."

Everyone claps and People start storming over to them.

"Hello, I'm Henry Bennet Marley the Head of the Marley House."

"Miss Daughtler, I...."

"Miss....."

Half of the People in the Ballroom started asking questions so she slowly answered every one of them by the time she was done an Hour had gone by.

She and Lyle were sitting at the designated table for them.

Lyle whispers: "Are you ok?"

"No, I'm tired. Why are so many people curious about me? I even got proposed to!", she sighs.

Lyle chuckles which makes people nearby turn around. They start whispering.

He slightly puts his index finger over his mouth and stares at the people whispering. They immediately shut up and look away.

Rudbeckia did not see what Lyle did, because she was too busy looking around.

Rudbeckia whispers in his ears: "Why were they looking at us strange Oppa?"

He whispers back: "I'm not as nice to them as I am to you."

Rudbeckia laughs and loudly says: "Ahh~ So they're jealous?"

He laughs too. The Guests who heard her, are visibly displeased with Ruby's claim.

Someone walks out of the crowd and says: "You're quite rude. Did your parents not teach you manners?"

He looks to be in his 40s or 50s and has dark gray Hair and Eyes that are almost Black. There's a young man next to him.

Rudbeckia's smile immediately drops. (Who is he to mention my Parents?) Lyle's face darkens as he thinks: "How did he slip through? I made sure this Idiot didn't get in."

Lyle was about to get up and call security to get him out but Rudbeckia started talking.

Rudbeckia: "Who the Fuck are you to mention my Parents!" She rubs her temple on the side of her head while frowning.

Rudbeckia groans: "Ughh, you totally ruined my Mood, what the fuck."

Lyle can't believe this is the same Rudbeckia speaking, who usually whines about everything.

The whole Crowd is watching them. The Man is speechless. He angrily says: "I am Benjamin Orso Finnegan the Head of the 'Finnegan House'."

Rudbeckia looks bored and yawns while waving her Hand in front of her mouth: "What? Never heard of it."
