{A heartbreaking Argument} (Part twenty Four)

Miles and I got home, and he drove up to the driveway. "There we go, sweetheart." He said on a flirting tone. I giggled at his flirtiness. "Thank you, gentleman." I kissed his cheek. I get out of the car, to the front door. I wanted to open the door, when Miles hugged me. "Will I see you tomorrow?" He said, and wrapped his arms around me. I nod my head. "yes, yes." I reassured him. He nods his head, and kissed my jaw softly.

"See you then, I guess." He replied, and let me go of his grip. He walked back to his car, when I get into my house. My parents fell alseep on the couch, and I putted my shoes out. "G'night, mom and dad..." I whispered, and kissed their foreheads. I ran upstairs, and closed the door behind me. I sigh softly, and thought back at the first kiss I shared with Miles. It was so amazing... I never expected he wanted to date me. But I was happy. I was very happy. I still smiled from ear to ear, and grabbed my handbag, as I threw it on my bed. I grabbed my phone out of it, and received a message from Erlin.

"Y'all were so cute." She sent. I just rolled my eyes, and giggled. She knew. She just knew it. I threw my clothes off, and I walked to the bathroom to brush my teeth.My phone got off again, it was Erlin. "Don't forget to do a check today, Spideyskyy." Erlin was reckless. And I liked it. I grinned, and putted my suit on. I get out of my window, and started to swing through the city. I landed on a roof, and looked over the city. it was beautiful at night. I looked at the time, 11: 30 pm. Late enough for a crime. I leaped off the roof again, and shot at a building with my webs. I saw The Prowler going through the city again. I sighed, and followed him. He immediately noticed me, and shot a bullet at me with his "special" stupid gun. "Whoah. Easy. I'm not trying to hurt you." I said, and he stopped pointing at me. "What do you want, stupid spider?" He said. I rolled my eyes from under my mask. "Look, I know you're mad. I didn't mean what you said. Okay?" He just stood there, on the roof in silence. "How do I trust you?" He asked, and looked at me with a doubting glance. "Because...You...You saved a friend of mine." He pointed his gun at me again. "Who do you mean?" He said with a low tone in his voice.

I raised my hands and arms. "Listen. Autumn and I..." He started to pace back and forth. "Oh...Oh nonono...Don't tell me she's working for you..." I got confused. "What? No.." I spoke. He kept the not-believing- face. "I want you to tell the truth. Is. She. Working for you?" I inhaled. "No." I then exhaled. He let out a heavy breath. "Okay. Okay. I trust you." I smiled from under my mask. "But why are you worried about Autumn?" I asked, and he looked at me once more. "My best friend is dating her." My eyes widened. "Who?" I asked. I knew it was Miles, but I wanted to hear this from his own mouth. "Miles Morales. Gonzalez." He said. I nod my head. "Okay. Didn't know it." I said, and he touched my shoulder. "She... She's fine." I smiled softly. "I know, because she told me you saved her." The Prowler's digital eyes widened. "R-really?" His amazed tone betrayed him. I gave him another nod. "You're not the villian I expected you to be." He took his hand off of my shoulder. "T-thanks." He said.

"Well, gotta go. Before my- I come to late for my meet up." I smiled. "Okay, Prowler." He jumped off the roof, and dissapeared. I swung back home, as I got into my room. I sat on my bed, and got my notebook. I changed into my pj's , to lay down in bed. I still smiled. How could I forget such a big impact on my life? I still couldn't believe the moment that my...crush kissed my lips tenderly and softly. It felt like a dream. I hugged my pillow, and looked at my suit on the ground. I thought about Miles and The Prowler. How could they be connect somehow? I didn't want to think about it. My thoughts were interrupted by my phone. Someone was calling me. I looked at the screen, it was an unknown number. "Hello, you're speaking with Autumn Martinez." I spoke, I heard a recognizable cough on the other line. "Hey, Mrs. Martinez." It was the voice of Miles. "Good evening, Mr. Morales." I giggled. He chuckled. "I wanted to know if you were alright." He was so sweet, thinking about me.

"Aww, I'm fine." I said, and admired his voice on the other line. "Okay, okay. Erlin gave me your phone number. She just giggled and spoke to me that it was cute." I smiled. "I know, she's cute." Miles mischievously. "I wasn't talking about her. I was talking about you." I blushed. "Y-you're such a gentleman, Miles." I could hear him grin.

"Everything for my sweetheart." He spoke, and I just couldn't help but laugh at his nickname for me. "Sweetheart, huh?" I grinned. He chuckled too, again. It wasn't like I could get tired of his chuckles. "Yeah, because you're my sweetheart." I giggled. "I swear to God, I couldn't get tired enough to listen to your voice every second, milisecond of it." He was such a sweet boy. "Aww, thank you, my dear." Suddenly, he shifted from tone. "Shit, gotta go mi amor. My uncle is waiting for me." He said, and hung up. Soon after, he would sent me a emoij with a kissing face. I smiled at my screen, and layed my phone down, as I felt tired. I closed my eyes, and started to fall asleep.

The next morning, I woke up. I stretched a little, as I got up. I putted my school clothes on, while checking my phone. Nothing. Must be okay, then. I made myself ready for school, when my mom came up to me. "Who were you calling last night, dear?" I just smiled nervously, as I stared at her. "A-ah. Erlin." She rolled her eyes. "You're not giggling and stuff when you're calling with Erlin. It must be a boy, right?" She asked, and I tried to deny it. But she could see I was lying to her straight in her face. "Baby, tell me. You know it's not wrong if you tell me you're dating a boy. I only find it cute." I nod my head. I grabbed my bag and got into the car with my dad. We got to school, as I get out of the car. "Love you, dad."

I kissed his cheek, and stepped out. I ran to school. "Erlin!!" She looked at me, and smiled brightly. "Autumn! How was the y'know what I mean?"I giggled. "It was good, I didn't captured bad guys last night." Ganke approached us. "Hello, ladies." He winked at us. Erlin chuckled. "He's okay, isn't he." I nod my head. "Yeah. He's nice." I then saw Miles at his locker, staring at his phone. Ganke pushed me towards him. "Go talk to him." Ganke said, and I blushed. "W-wha?!" But unfortunately, Miles looked my way. "Oh, hey Autumn. You okay? You seem a little red." I smiled akwardly at him. "Reaaally?" He chuckled. "You're funny, y'know." I then loosened from my nervousness. "Thanks, handsome." He pulled me closer and kissed my hair. Ganke walked towards us. He immedaitely grew cold again. "What do you need, Ganke?" He asked coldly. I blinked rapidly at his instant coldness. "Oh, nothing friend. We just need to go to class." Miles rolled his eyes.

"I'm just having my moment with Autumn, can't you see?" He said, and squeezed my hips. I buried my face into my boyfriend's chest. I somehow loved to do this. I could hear Miles' heartbeat. It was so... Soothing. I inhaled and exhaled softly. "Gotta go to class, mi amor." I nod. "Okay, will I see you in break?" He gave me a determinded nod. "Of course. I wouldn't let you down." I smiled. "Bye, dear!"

In class, Erlin sat next to me. "So, what do you think about my theory?" I stared at her. "You mean, the thing you thought that Miles could be The Prowler?" I asked, and she immediately smiled. "Yes! I'm almost certain of my choice." I rolled my eyes. "God, why would Miles be a villain? Give me one reason why." She scoffed. "He's acting very suspicious, and I studied The Prowler's behavior. It's almost the same as Miles." I felt the anger building up inside of me, no one should accuse my boyfriend for being a villain. "You're talking bullshit." I suddenly said. Erlin's eyes were as big as beachballs. "B-but Autumn, you're missing a point here." I sighed heavily, because I felt myself getting annoyed. "What am I missing then?!" I yelled. She just stood there, not wanting to believe what just happened. "You're blinded by love, Autumn. But listen to me, he'll find out that you're SpiderSky, and then he'll kill you! For the sake of your own life, listen to me!!" I just stood up, I was pissed at her that she called my heroname in front of the class.

"You better hope that no one listened to our conversation. Because everyone could've heard it." She started to cry softly. "And I don't want to lose my best friend." I just looked at her in disbelief. "Don't accuse my boyfriend of a criminal."
