ALEX Pov-----
I can't believe what just happened, a wedding is about cherishing the life of love now it was a bloody mess. All I can think was who would do this. I started to have one of my panic attacks, I felt like my heart was in my head, and the heartbeat just kept getting louder and louder and boom...I felt myself let go and my sight black out.
CARLOTTAS POV
all I could remember was Rashad leaving then a bunch of men with guns came rushing in.my eyes focused on one of the men with his gun focused to me. I saw his hand pulled the trigger and boom. Shots are fired and I'm on the ground...but I'm not bleeding nor shot. I keep hearing the sound of the guns and people hitting the ground, so I stayed down but Cassie was with me...I thought she grabbed me to the ground, so I stayed down. I could hear people screaming and mostly Simone "angel baby wake up please!!somebody help!!". the shootings stopped, and I heard the footsteps walk away. Everyone was up and screaming for help I grabbed Cassie and pulled her to her side. Cassie was shot I couldn't tell how many times, but it seemed like she was shot three times. I pressed down on Cassie wounds and held her over my thigh as she laid there unconscious.
SIMONE POV
"Angel please come on baby wake up! T!SOMEBODY HELP PLEASE!!"the man I loved who had already been through enough was laying on my thigh choking on his own blood and all I could do was scream for help. Angel was shot and he wasn't doing good. I was so scared I wondered who would do something like this. Angel went in and out the whole time. I looked over to grabbed napkins to hold his wounds and I saw Mateo just lying unconscious. I couldn't find my phone, so I went by Mateo and grabbed his phone. I knew his password because it was Nadia's birthday, I unlocked his phone and called 911.
"911 what's your emergency?".
"PLEASE HELP THERES BEEN A SHOOTING".
"Ma'am okay. Where-"
"MY friend's wedding please. From where I can see 5 people are shot including my husband, please hurry he's bleeding out!!we're at St. Patrick's warehouse on Atlantic Road".
"OKAY MAAM WE ARE ON THE WAY; I HAVE A TEAM HEADED YOUR WAY".
"OK just hurry!!"
I hanged up and reached by Mateo's neck to check for a pulse. There was a pulse, but it was light. I whispered to Mateo hoping he could hear me "Mateo its ok you're going to be ok; I'll be back. Help is on the way" then I went to comfort angel.
STAR POV
my whole world just crashed on my shoulders. There lying on the floor is Jackson unconscious, knocked out. Noah trying to wake him up. Davis crib is empty, and my baby is gone...my eyes searched the room for Davis, but I couldn't find him. My world was spinning without Davis. I called the cops while Noah tried to help Jackson up.
"What happened? "Jackson woke up.
"JACKSON WHERE IS MY BABY?!"I screamed at him "GET UP NOW"
"I'm sorry star please "then Jackson collapsed on the floor again.
"Omg! the cops are on their way turn him to his side "I said
SIMONE POV
the cops finally arrived took Cassie into the paramedics' truck. Mateo was conscious and sitting up while the paramedics cleaned up his wound. I was by angel holding his hand while they tried to give him cpr.my tears blurred my vision, and I was praying to God that he'd be okay. The paramedics asked me to give them space, so I went to Carlotta crying in her arms. about 8 minutes later of watching them give angel CPR from a distance, vision blurred just staring into angel.
"Simone Rivera?"
"Ye-yes that's me?!"my senses came back.
"I'm sorry to inform you. We tried to resuscitate angel but unfortunately we could not-"
"No-oh my God "I cried
I started to hit the ground and fall out. I couldn't help myself. Carlotta grabbed me and tried to calm me down.
"Come on baby I know it's ok".
CARLOTTA POV
we were at the hospital and Derek decided to go with Simone to the morgue. I stayed by Cassie the whole time praying to the lord she gets better, thinking about the times we used to sing together and love each other. We were just getting back to each other after all these years of arguing, blaming, and destruction to our sistership. I ended up going to Mateo's room, I was glad to see he was ok because that was my partner.
"Hey, you, ok?".I said.
Mateo sat up.
"Water would be good other than that I'm ok"
"I got you "I smirked
I gave Mateo a sip of his water then sat down in a chair by his bedside.
"So, is everybody ok?!"Mateo said worried.
I looked at Mateo and broke down crying.
"NO, I-I WAS JUST GETTING BETTER, I WENT TO REHAB, I WAS GETTING THE COMPANY ON TRACK, MY GRIEF FOR JAHIL WAS HEALED, I WAS BETTER NOW IM BACK WHERE I STARTED, IM TIRED.ANGEL DIED, AN-AND I-I FEEL LIKE I FAILED JAHIL MORE.I WAS SUPPOSED TO PROTECT HIM-"I ranted.
"Hey hey-angel is grown, I get how you feel, when my papa died, I thought it was my duty to take care of my brother, I was 15, he was 23, and actually he was supposed to take care of me-but that's not the point the point is you take care of everybody but yourself. When's the first time you've ever took care of yourself and your mental health. "Mateo said.
"Since I went to rehab 4 months ago "I sighed
"Not that long ago Huh? Well let me say this, sex can be a stress reliever but not always"
"wha-"I said
"I'm the man. I know when I see recent activities "Mateo laughed.
"You know what mind your business but if sex can't always be a reliever which I feel it is then what is?"
"You see after sex, it may feel like your relieved, but that's just the excitement, what you need is a mental day, with you and just you, but you also need a mentor, I'll tell you what after I'm out of this baggy male dress-
"a hospital gown "I smiled with a sigh.
"Yea whatever in my country that's what we call it, but after I'm out of this "hospital gown "I'll be your mentor "Mateo smiled
I hugged Mateo "thank you"
"Yea-bulle-bullet wounds-"he said in pain
"Oh- sorry "I laughed.
"get better "I said.
"Right back at ya, Mateo said.
DEREKS POV---->
As I stood there comforting Simone while she sobbed in grief and pain while looking at angel's lifeless body, I turned the other way out of respect and gave her a rub on the back for comfort.
I wasn't close to angel, but we had seen each other a lot because of Simone and Alex, but for some reason I felt close to him, I mean we had cheered our glasses together at my wedding in with a matter of time he died at my wedding, I felt responsible.
"Take me to the hospital "Simone said wiping the tears off her face.
"I got you "I said in sympathy.
I soon as we walked out the morgue into the parking lot, I had gotten a phone call.
"Hey Simone, I'll meet you in the car" I said.
she nodded and headed to the car.
"Hello? "I said to the person on the other side of the phone.
"Yes, Derek jones?"
"This is him, I'm sorry who is this?"
"This is detective brochen "
"Oh, I haven't heard from you since maria, is this investigation back open?" I spoke.
little did I know the best day of my life turned into the worst day of my life.
"Well, I'm afraid it is, but Mr. Jones I'm calling about your grandmother".
"Yea, I know"
"No Derek, I'm sorry but we got a call from your neighborhood of sounds of multiple gunshots and when we headed to the scene your home door was opened, we looked around and we eventually got into the kitchen where we found your grandmother ruby jones unalive, with multiple gunshot wounds to the chest, I'm sorry for your loss". He went on.
"Now, wait the-that, it can't be true "I YELLED.
"I'm afraid it is, but there's so much more to this, there was a black bandana placed on your grandma indicating, bank head crew was responsible. We need you at the station as soon as possible for some questions. Again Mr. Jones I am so sorry.
I looked at Simone in the car, she was wondering why I had that face, she looked worried. All I know is I took one look at Simone and drop to my knees, bawling my eyes out.
Simone got out the car and ran over to me.
"Hey-hey Derek are you ok wha-calm down. What happened?!"she spoke
"My-grand-rub-MY GRANDMA-sh-shes gone" I cried even more.
