He goes back into the townhouse with his head bowed down when he saw Ben and Bev, he really doesn't wanna have a conversation with them he just wants to leave.

"Move, move" Richie says walking past them in the stairs.

"What's wrong?" Beverly asks him.

"I'm leaving" he says back to her, still walking up the stairs not wanting to stop to talk to her cause he knows that she'll try and convince him to stay.

"What, you can't leave man, we split we all die" Ben says trying to convince Richie to stay.

"Yeah, I'll take my chances, we're gonna die anyway" Richie says in a sad tone.

"Rich, um, rich" Ben says while chasing Richie upstairs.

So Richie goes into his room to start packing, then Ben comes in.

"Hey rich, wanna talk about what happened?" Ben says.

"Not really" Richie says back to Ben, while going into the bathroom to get his toothbrush.

"Well I think you should, talking about it to someone will make it seem less scary" Ben says back to Richie.

"Well I think that talking about it will not help at all" Richie says annoyed now.

"Yes it will" Ben says, "talking about your feelings does help, that's why there's therapists".

"Yeah well I can deal with it myself" Richie says pulling his phone out to book a flight.

"No you can't Richie, that's why we're losers, we need each other" Ben says going over to Richie to pat him on the back, "now come on put your bag down and let's kill this son of a bitch that made us scared shitless at only thirteen".

"Yep okay, would you mind leaving, would like to take a shit before killing a demonic clown.

"Yeah of course rich, when you're done come meet me and Bev downstairs" Ben says before he left, wow Richie can't believe how good his lying is, cause is he fuck staying he takes the stairs from a side entrance out of the townhouse and gets into his car.

"I should go back there, I just left by themselves, nah what the fuck are you doing, fuck them, fuck that, fuck them" Richie says to himself while driving outta town.

"I got dates in fuckin Reno man" Richie says then slowing down when he sees the synagogue.

So he drives up to it and gets another flashback.

If Richie's being completely honest he's zoned out during Stans speech, it's just not interesting to him.

Stan is the only friend he's talked to since the fight with him and bill which makes sense as Stan is Richie's best friend and nobody can take that away from them.

"Reflecting on the meaning of what I just read, the word le chant comes up a lot, which means to change to transform, which makes sense I guess, because today I'm supposed to become a man" Stan says not coming off scared or shy of all of the people in front of him, if he was Richie then he would make at least five mom jokes by now and that's why Richie is a comedian and not an motivational speaker.

"It's funny though, everyone I think, has some memories they're prouder of than others right? And maybe that's why change is so scary because the things that we wish that we could leave behind, the whispers we wish we could silence, the nightmares we most want to wake up from, the memories we wish we could change, secrets we feel like we have to keep are the hardest to walk away from" and the last bit of his speech he looks over to Richie, like he's talking directly too him, fuck does he know my dirty little secret?.
