Elanis rushed at me, his eyes now black with the Demonic power he'd tried to conquer all of Soularis with, a scowl on his face filled with the contempt he felt for me personally.
"You are going to die here!" Elanis exclaimed as the war machines outside began firing on the palace.
"No, Elanis, I am going to kill you," I said, "and with that, your evil is going to be destroyed!"
We clashed over and over as one by one, Donner got the others free, but was having some trouble freeing Stryker due to the enchantments on his chains in particular (which I theorize Elanis did so Stryker couldn't do to him what he had at the Shrine of Edanis).
They all could only watch, however, as Elanis and I clashed again and again and again.
I tapped into the powers I have as a Myriad, my blood boiling and my heart rate accelerating again. I began to strike harder and harder, I began to dodge faster and faster.
I was gaining the advantage, slowly but surely. This was it.
I was winning.
I knocked Elanis back to his throne, where he put up a decent defense, but in the end, I knocked him into his throne using the brute force I'd normally jokingly criticize Troy for using.
Our blades clashed one last time, and as our blades were grinding against one another, I could think of nothing else other than the desire to see Elanis Summerset dead.
"You think you're going to win this, do you, Tyris?" Summerset asked, panting, as the both of us were exhausted from our many bouts over the course of this conflict, "No such luck!"
Elanis punched me in the chest with his off-hand, staggering me due to the fact my heart was already overcompensating, and then he sliced across my chest twice before he kicked me across the room, forcing me to slide on his crimson carpet to about the middle of the room.
I gotta get up! I exclaimed to myself, I finally have the others back, and they're counting on me!
Elanis began to walk towards me, but I couldn't make my body move for anything.
"You talk such a big game," Elanis said, "and then you can't even deliver. You're pathetic, Tyris, you really are. You're just like your father. Then again, I don't exactly see your friends standing up for you this time, either. They're just as sick of you as I am."
"My love, that's not true!" Aurora exclaimed as I tried to move, but alas, to no avail, "We all still care about you deeply, that never went away! Think of all the things we've been through! Please, get up!"
"Come on, man!" Troy exclaimed, "If you don't kill this bastard, who will?"
"Your efforts are obviously in vain, cattle," Elanis said as he now stood over me, raising his sword up as I failed to move for what I thought was the last time.
I thought it would be until I heard a familiar voice.
"Father!"
Almost as effortlessly as could be, Stryker seemingly flew across the room and swiped Elanis with his massive paw, knocking him back up to his throne, but Stryker then ran over and grabbed Elanis by the shirt with his teeth and slammed him down only a couple of meters from me, snarling all the while.
Finally, I was able to stand up, my Myriad powers thankfully kicking in fully and speeding up my healing process as I limped over to where Stryker had Elanis pinned.
