"Professor! Professor Lee!!" A frantic trainee came flying down the brightly lit hallways, her identification badge bouncing crazily along with her hasty steps. A cheesy grin was widely spread across her cheeks as she rushed down corridors, clipboard tightly clung to her lab coat.

Said Professor glanced over his shoulder at the sound of his name echoing down the halls, his eyebrow raised in amusement at the clumsy female hurdling down towards him. He excused himself from his previous conversation, swiftly turning on his heel as his mentee came to an abrupt halt in front of him.

Strands of brown hair messily strayed away from the once neat ponytail as she attempted to quickly catch her breath, glasses dangling on the tip of her nose. "Th-The—they—! S-Subject 9—!"

"Settle down Mina, you have all the time in the world." Professor Lee chuckled lowly, eyes crinkling slightly as he smiled down at her. She flushed in embarrassment whilst pushing up her glasses, body turned slightly towards the way she just came from, as if she couldn't wait to rush back.

With a final intake of well needed air, her words finally came spilling out like a sink faucet. "The experiment has finally been concluded sir! It's sad to say we lost the feline from this experiment but the control used on the human subject came down to a success! Subject 975 easily took in the liquified variants from earlier today and the results came back positive!!" Mina bounced around in her spot, excitement oozing off her figure.

The Professor's mood changed entirely at the information, already rushing down the corridor with Mina in tow, words never halting in their speed. "They have the features of the feline? What about animalistic characteristics and their behavioral patterns? Are they still able to function normally?"

She nodded fervently, clutching the clipboard tighter as all the information circled throughout her frantic brain. "Ears and tail in tact, along with sharper canines. The subject is a bit hostile, but it's expected as they behaved similarly before the experiment. Though, they mimicked faint sounds of the feline and had a specific taste for certain food diets. You'll be thoroughly impressed but we still have plenty of more in depth research to do."

As those words came to an end, both were already entering the experimentation room with sparkles shimmering in their eyes. Around ten other researchers and scientists resided in the room, all huddled around the main "attraction" in the middle of the room. Lee pushed his way through with Mina closely behind him, until they were front and center.

"Oh my..." His eyes widened slightly behind his spectacles, a proud smile finding his lips as he stared at the curled up subject on the experimentation table. Their hybrid. Chains attached themselves on all four limbs which were attached to the pristine white table. Though, hints and splatters of a scarlet substance stained this very table, and the floor around it. "It's magnificent...!"

At the sound of that horridly familiar voice, the hybrid shot up from the surface, hissing at the man most responsible for this. He backed up on the table, needle scars and other injuries surrounding his bare torso, while those dirty white shorts remained torn at the edges. But someone who was once fully human had furry ginger ears and a thin long tail, resulting from the genetic mutation of the now deceased tabby cat.

Slit eyes narrowed on the many people in the room, judging and scornful. He carefully clutched his tail to his chest, not yet used to the new feeling but already feeling a sense of normalcy with the action. After all, being turned into a hybrid was the last thing he had in mind when that flyer mentioned an "easy experiment to gain easy money." He among many others were fooled, locked up in a place to be used as guinea pigs for someone's sick fascination.
