5 Seconds

5 seconds is all it takes to make it or to break it

5 seconds is all it takes 

To stop

To click accept 

To lend a hand

But in those same 5 seconds

You can continue

You can click decline

You can leave someone behind

It only takes 5 seconds to leave via 

The pulling of a trigger 

A pushing of a chair

The swallowing of a pill

It all only toke 5 seconds

Your 5 seconds won't be the same as mine 

But when the time comes

Stop

Think

Are you really doing the right thing?

Though 5 seconds might not seem long

It means the world for many

Quite literally

So when your 5 seconds comes just stop 

And think

Think

Think of me

Your brother 

Your sister

Your mother

Your father

And your family

What would they think?

Though its not my place to say 

Please when the time comes

 Stop and think of everything you hold dear 

So you don't end up like me

Because it only ever took 5 seconds
