As I opened my eyes, I felt a sense of longing for the soft, warm presence that had been beneath me. But it was just a pillow. I hugged it again, trying to recapture the feeling, but it wasn't the same. I rubbed my eyes, feeling a bit disoriented, and headed to the washroom to freshen up.
After brushing my teeth and taking a shower, I felt more awake and alert. I put on a beautiful white dress with black dots that reached just above my knees. The dress hugged my body perfectly, making me feel confident and elegant.
We were scheduled to leave for Mumbai in the afternoon, and I was feeling a bit melancholic about leaving this beautiful place behind. I walked downstairs for breakfast, taking in the serene atmosphere one last time.
As I sat down at the table, I felt Revansh's gaze on me, but I ignored him, as had become my habit. Papa and Chachu were discussing their latest business project, and Revansh was answering their questions. After breakfast, everyone headed to their rooms to pack.
I packed Rian's bags first and then started packing my own. Just as I was finishing up, someone grabbed my arm and pinned me to the wall. I was about to shout when I saw Revansh's face inches from mine. I knew he wanted to talk to me, but I was determined to ignore him.
But this time, I couldn't escape. He caged me between his hands, his eyes burning with intensity. "What are you doing?" I stuttered, feeling my heart racing.
"Listen to me," he said, his voice low and husky.
But I refused to listen. "No, just leave me," I replied firmly.
He tried again, his voice rising in frustration. "Adarika, listen to me!"
But I stood my ground. "Leave me!" I yelled back at him.
For a moment, we just stared at each other, our chests heaving with emotion. Then, in a surprising move, Revansh apologized. "I am sorry, Adarika," he said, his eyes filled with remorse.
I looked into his eyes, searching for any sign of insincerity, but all I saw was truth.
But my anger and hurt still lingered. "You don't deserve my forgiveness," I spat out, trying to keep my emotions in check. "You don't have to apologize to me. I'm just a toy to everyone, a punching bag for people to vent their frustrations on."
Revansh tried to explain himself, to tell me about his past, but I cut him off. "I know about your ex, but that doesn't give you the right to hurt me. You're always saying hurtful things to me, always making me feel like I'm worthless."
