Yagyhavi's pov:

I slowly opened the back door of my house, making sure it didn't make any noise, and slipped inside.

The house was dark because it was 12:20 AM. My father must be sleeping.

I locked the door behind me and quietly made my way to my room.

Once inside, I removed the hood of my hoodie and took off the mask from my face, then sat on my bed. I sat there for a moment, letting out a sigh of relief.

The adrenaline from the night's activities still buzzed through my veins.

**Flashback**

Last week when I sent my first letter to my best friend Aditya, aka Mr. Pikachu, I waited for his response, which never came.

Being the smart girl that I am, I used a trick to find out if my letter was read or not. It was a long shot, but I did it anyway.

When I sent him my first letter, I attached a small thread with a tiny piece of paper to the envelope that would fall off once someone opened the envelope and took the letter out.

I didn't know if Aditya would open my letter inside his house or right next to the letterbox.

I wasn't sure, but I thought that in case he opened it near the letterbox, the thread and tiny piece of paper would fall to the ground, helping me determine if someone had opened the letter or not.

So, the next day early morning, I went to check.

I carefully inspected the area around the letterbox, making sure the security guard of his house didn't see me.

I already knew that the front camera of his house doesn't cover the area where the letterbox is located, since it's in a corner of the house. Aditya had told me this when we were kids, exchanging letters with each other.

I checked the letterbox first, ensuring no one was watching.

When I opened it, the letter was gone.

Seeing the empty letterbox made me happy, thinking that maybe my letter had reached him. But I wasn't sure if the letter had been read.

To find out, I started looking for the thread and tiny piece of paper. After a few seconds of searching, I found the tiny piece of paper and the thread on the ground in a corner.

This confirmed that someone had opened the letter.

But I hadn't received any response from him.

"Yagyhavi, you sent him your letter yesterday. How can you expect a response so quickly?"

"Be patient," my inner voice said, and I agreed with my inner thoughts.

So, I left quietly, hoping that I would soon receive a response from Aditya.

Every day, I used to woke up and checked the letterbox of my house, hoping to find a letter there, but found nothing. I waited, waited, and waited.

Now it had been one week. I had sent him a letter last Saturday, and it was Sunday now, meaning it had been more than a week with no response.

This could only mean one thing: Mr. Pikachu, my best friend, did not want to talk to me. Because I hadn't received any response to my letter.

One thing was sure: my letter had been opened.
