As soon as it was decided that they would risk going to The Amethyst City, they immediately started to pack up their camp. Felix moved the quickest of all, only because he wanted to get out of there as fast as they could. They had Atlas and Eowyn to think of now.

The journey down the mountain took less time than the journey up due to Chan deciding that they wouldn't stop to rest in the human town. When they got to the bottom of the mountain, they started in the direction of The Amethyst City, only stopping once they were sure that Valerian and the HATS crew hadn't followed them, and that they were far enough away that the humans couldn't find them.

Along the way, more and more members of the crew gained magic from Eowyn. Most notable to Felix were his siblings. Seungmin discovered that he was able to manipulate blood when he cut himself on a tree branch and was suddenly able to make his blood do odd things. Minho found that he was able to cut things without touching them, showing this by violently slashing through three trees at once and watching them crash to the ground. There had also been multiple times when Felix and his other siblings had to calm Aurora down from a panic attack when she suddenly disappeared and reappeared in a new spot, teleporting to different places involuntarily.

Sakura was suddenly able to create water out of nothing. Pandora and Polaris were suddenly creating plants, but only fruit and vegetable plants respectively. Paradise learned she could speak to animals when the horses suddenly started shouting in her head. Hannah's new intelligence magic wasn't surprising as she was already one of the smartest members of the Sun Searchers.

At first, they thought Jisung only had a teleportation power similar to Aurora because he'd disappear for a few seconds and then reappear in a different spot, but he revealed that he wasn't teleporting but going forward and backward in time. He could also stop time itself as well.

Solaria and Aristella discovered that they both had the same power as their older sister, while their triplet, Sage, was suddenly able to create fireballs. Harley was the only outlier with the ability to manipulate the temperature around his body.

Archer's power showed itself when suddenly no one could touch them as a force field appeared around their body. Camellia's power was by far the most violent when it appeared. One second everything was fine, the next Camellia exploded into a brilliant ball of fire. It was terrifying, but a moment later she appeared in a different spot, completely fine.

The Thornletter twins, Cassiopeia and Olympia, had connected magic. They could fuse to create a being that was twice as strong, twice as fast, and twice as smart as the average magicfolk.

By the time they finally settled down and created camp, the only members of the crew who hadn't received magic were Changbin, Jeongin, and Astraea. Changbin and Jeongin didn't mind much, but Felix could tell after a few sunrises that it was hitting Astraea hard.

Felix knew she'd come to him about it at some point. It was only a matter of when. That time came only six sunrises after they had left Caelym.

Felix was in the research tent, reading through Kalina's journals for the millionth time. He didn't even notice when Astraea came into the tent.

"Um... Felix?"

Felix looked up from Kalina's journal and set it aside immediately when he saw the nervous look on Astraea's face. "What is it, Star? What's up?"

Astraea wrung her hands together and stared down at her feet. She opened her mouth to speak then closed it again. Felix's expression softened. He got up from his chair and kneeled on the floor so he could be at eye level with his sister. "Come on, bug. What's wrong?"

Astraea's eyes filled with tears. "Idon'tthinkIhavemagic," She rushed out. Felix, having known Astraea her entire life, understood.

"Of course you have magic, Astraea," Felix reassured her.
