The sun casted gentle light on the brown oak table, filled with a bunch of files and an off computer. The small dust particles flying around, as Raden let out another sigh, grabbing his fourth cup of coffee for the day.

The cold liquid made him even more annoyed then he already was. Even making him rethink if he should grab a new cup.

His finger tapped lightly on the lid as his eyes wondered over the papers he held in his left hand.

The work seemed never ending.

His green orbs drifted to the shut door, where a knock came from the other side.
He cleared his throat, fixing his tie.

"Come in"

The door opened revealing an officer.
Caledon McCain, yes, that is his name, Raden thought to himself. He examined the man carefully, making sure to remember every inch of this officer. The officer felt his gaze and cleared his throat nervously.

"Sir, they're expecting you in the interrogation room" the man spoke quick and polite.

"I'll be right over then" Raden nodded and the man left.

Raden hummed to himself as he got up.

He made his way over to the room greeting everyone he made contact with.

He knocked on the metal doors until he heard the faint, come in.

Inside he found the captain. Mr. Leonardsen. The guy with a big white beard and a greyish head which is almost going bald, a round stomach, and dark brown eyes.

"Sir Volkovitch" Leon nodded as the two of them shook hands, the man's hands being more ruff and sticky.

"Good day sir"

"He's inside"

Raden nodded.

"You may enter"

Raden rolled his shoulders back, before going inside the dimly lit room, with a table and two chair on each side of it. There on one chair sat a man, who looked lost in thought. His blonde hair messy, his blue orbs wide as he saw Raden enter. He quickly sat up straight, half needing to stop himself from rambling out on the detective.

"Marcus Hills.."

"Mr. Solokov"

"How are you doing?"

"I'm doing great, detective"

"Haha. No need for that, please stick to Volkovitch now."

"Of course"

"How have you been feeling"

"I don't know..."

"I see... Are you sure?"

"Y-Yes"

"Marcus tell me a little bit about yourself"

The man stared at the man who stood standing in front of him as if he went crazy.

"I'm 36 years old. Born in California, I have a younger brother-"

"Where is your brother currently addressed?"

"Vancouver"

"Okay... Go on"

"Oh. That's basically all."

"I see, now for the real reason you're here... Tell me what happened that night"

"... I was in bad that night. It was around eleven at that time. I was only trying to sleep until I heard the dark screams of a woman. It sounded like she was in pain, so I quickly ran outside to see. The scream came from an alley not to far from where I live. I was only considering calling the police only to remember I didn't have my phone... "

"Go on"

"... As I walked into the alley. I saw a figure wearing all black a mask covered their face. I figured by the curves of the body that it was a woman. Next to her layed a woman, blood oozed from her head, and two of her left hand fingers were gone. Too shaken up, I couldn't move or speak. The woman turned towards me. Everything about her screamed danger. She walked towards me, holding out the bloodied knife. My hands reached out to grab it. But when I did, it felt as if I was being controlled, as if I wasn't really there. I found myself alone again staring at the dead body. It was only then that the police pulled up, and stated that I was the killer..."

Raden looked at the man's blue orbs, a few wrinkles on the sides of his eyes. He took everything in to his brain memorizing every little thing he found helpful.

There was a few moments of absolute silence.
" Did she say anything to you? "

The man shook his head.

"Thank you, for sharing" Raden held out his hand which Marcus shook firmly.
And he left. Outside the room Leon waited for him.

"He doesn't seem like suspect to me.... He was quite, contributive"

"Hmm... Last time he sure was playing it secretive. You really do have a charm as people say"

"But we can't be sure"

"Yes..."

"I'll need to head off to file some reports, if that's okay"

"Yes, of course don't let me keep you." Leon patted him behind the back.

Raden sat back at his desk, another cup of coffee in hand. Signing a few papers. There was only an hour left before he could finally go home. This case wasn't as easy as he thought. Usually thanks to his experience he'd been able to track the most dangerous criminals in the city. But not the same with this one, the criminal who claims them self as Red Vortex. This one having Raden's brain twisted.

The sun has now almost completely disappeared. Raden had just stopped to do some groceries, he stopped as the traffic light went red. A human passed the street over, and Raden didn't hesitate to take in every detail of her. Not in a weird way. She was about 5'6, black hair, grey eyes. He then went on driving to his house.

The keys jingled in the lock and the door went open. He placed the two bags of groceries on the kitchen counter and started unpacking them. Placing everything where it belongs. Times even staring at the unknown product he'd bought, just for testing. He looked at the clock on the wall. He went upstairs to get himself a coat. And taking a banana for eating. Locking his doors. And off he was on foot this time, to where the murder had been.
