Denki Kaminari x Hitoshi Shinso

Shinso's Pov

I lay there, awake... I've been awake all night. I don't know if it was nerves of being the new kid in 1a, or excitement because all my hard work has paid off. It's already half way through the school year, class 1a just did their musical number for the festival.

It wasn't for me, but they looked like they were having fun, I'm not the fun type, I don't think I'm going to fit in with any of them.

Don't try to make any friends Shinso... just go to class, study, become a great hero.

I hear a familiar voice yell out to me, it's Aizawa. "Hitoshi we are leaving, if you want a ride you better get moving."

"Coming dad!" I had everything ready for hours now so I grab my bag and run to the door. I watch as both my dads climb into the car. "Okay I'm going to be honest, I'm nervous for today"

Mic laughs, "you'll do just fine kid, plus your dad will be your home room teacher, and I'll see you later on so you'll be okay. I really want you try to make some friends though, it isn't healthy for you to stay cooped up in your room all day, so try to make at least one friend today, please?"

I frown and take a deep breath. "Sure dad, I'll try, these kids seem so enthusiastic and energetic though, completely the opposite of me, I don't know if they would even be interested in associating with me, but I'll put in an effort, I will!"

I listen as my dads talk amongst themselves on our way to school. "So Eri is out of quarantine, and since I'm the only one who can control her quirk I was thinking that we could bring her into our home, she's a great kid, she just needs help."

"Oh hunny of course! She's such an angel, plus now I'll have someone to have tea parties with since you two hate tea." Aizawa laughs and reaches out for Mic's hand. Mic smiles and entangles his fingers with his. "Thank you Mic, I'll talk to Tsukauchi today and see what he'll need from us, you're okay with this right kiddo?"

He looks at me through the rear view mirror. "Of course, she needs a home, just like I did. What kind of person or hero would I be if this upset me. It will be nice to have a little sister."

Just then we pull up to school. We do the daily routine, my dads hug me, they kiss each other, we all say I love you and hurry off in different directions for class. But this time it changes, only because I get to follow Aizawa to class now!

"So Hitoshi you aren't the only one joining our class, Neito Monoma, Itsuka Kendo, and Tetsutetsu will be joining as well, I had some desks set up in the back row so you'll be together in the back. I've been thinking about switching up the seating chart so if you do make a friend let me know, I want to make sure you feel as comfortable as possible so I can sit you with a friend. Other than that, I know you'll do just fine."

He grabs me and pulls me into a hug before we go into the classroom. "I just want you know that I'm really proud of you Hitoshi." I feel a small smile form on my lips. He's such a great dad, an incredible teacher, and an amazing friend. "Thanks Dad, now let's get this day moving."

Everyone else was in class waiting for us. It was awkward watching everyone's heads turn toward me.  I take a deep breath and head over to the last empty desk in the back row.

Alright class so since we have some new faces here today I want all of you to introduce yourselves, I'll have you stand, say your name, your quirk, and something you love. We will start with this side of the room.

.... oh no, I wasn't even paying any attention to anyone's introductions, I'm the worst, you're suppose to make friends ....

Okay pay attention.... The next kid stands up, he looks irritated, but he does what he's told with a sigh. "Katsuki Bakugou, my quirk is explosions, I can basically just explode my sweat, it's pretty cool, uhm what was the other thing we have to say?"

The boy I fought in the sports festival speaks up. "Something you love Kacchan." Bakugou rolls his eyes, "well I hate all of you... well okay maybe not all of you. A very select few of you I can tolerate." He sits down while a small group of people laugh.

The next boy stands, "my name is Izuku Midoriya, my quirk is uhm strength, and something I love is to collect figurines." Bakugou laughs, "yeah we all know that you're obsessed with All Might, Deku." Izuku scowls at him, "shush Kacchan."

I zoned out again, why do I do this, I missed like 5 more people. The next to stand is a soft looking boy with blonde hair. He seems a little too excited.

"My name is Denki Kaminari, my quirk is electrification, and something I love is, actually there's a lot, I love making me smile and laugh, I love music, hanging out with my friends, I love watching cartoons, and-"

Aizawa cuts him off, "thank you Kaminari okay now for the next person." Denki smiles and sits back down. He's so happy, I wonder what that's like.

It's almost my turn, what am I going to say, I don't really love anything, I'm sad all the time unless I'm with my dads. I don't want to say that though.

Oh no I've zoned out again, my thoughts are interrupted by dad, "Shinso!" I focus back in on everyone else and the room is giggling. That made me feel sick, people laughing at me, but im used to it.

I slowly get to my feet, "Hi, uhm I'm Hitoshi Shinso, my quirk is brainwashing, I can basically get people to do or say what I want." A pink girl who I zoned out and didn't catch her name speaks. "So can you get people to tell the truth?"

I nod, "yeah, I try not to use my quirk though." I think for a moment, "uhm I guess something I love is.. well I like cats, they are soft, and reliable." I quickly sit down.

"Perfect all right that was great, class is almost over, I wasn't expecting you guys to take that long but that's alright." With that the bell rings. Everyone grabs there stuff and hurries out of the room.

I grab my things and head toward the door. I'm stopped by the energetic blonde boy. "Hey Hitoshi, I just wanted to say it's nice to meet you, and I like cats too!" He smiles and runs out of the room. I feel something weird in my chest. I shrug it off.

He seems so nice, maybe he can be the friend I make, he likes cats so at least he has that going for him. What was his name again....?
