Yoongi arrived that night from work feeling the familiar exhaustion settle over him. He fished his keys from his pocket and unlocked the door, expecting to see Jimin relaxing after a long day. Instead, he was met with a sight that made him stop in his tracks.
Iseul stood in the doorway, her expression a mixture of surprise and something darker, a smirk playing on her lips. But the smirk quickly faded when Jimin appeared behind her.
"Iseul," Yoongi said, his voice tight with confusion. "What are you doing here?"
Iseul crossed her arms, trying to maintain her composure. "I needed a place to stay for a while."
Jimin stepped forward, placing a reassuring hand on Yoongi's arm. "She's having some issues with Jungkook. I told her she could stay here for a bit."
Yoongi's eyes flickered between Jimin and Iseul, his mind racing to process the situation. Though he cared deeply for Jimin, he couldn’t deny the soft spot he had for Iseul.
"You didn't think to tell me?" Yoongi asked, though his tone was less accusing and more concerned.
Jimin sighed, his expression apologetic. "I didn't want to worry you. Iseul needed help, and I thought it would be okay for a short time."
Yoongi's gaze softened as he looked at Jimin, understanding the kindness behind his actions. But he couldn't shake the uneasy feeling that settled in his chest. Then, almost without thinking, he found himself agreeing.
"Fine," Yoongi said finally, stepping into the apartment and closing the door behind him. "But we need to talk about this."
Iseul shifted uncomfortably, glancing around the apartment. "I don't want to cause any trouble. I'll stay out of your way."
Yoongi nodded curtly, his expression unreadable. "Let's just get through tonight."
The three of them moved into the living room, the tension in the air palpable. Yoongi sank onto the couch, his mind still reeling from the unexpected turn of events.
"Iseul," Yoongi began, his tone more measured now, "what exactly happened with Jungkook?"
Iseul hesitated, her gaze dropping to the floor. "We had a fight. A bad one. I needed some space."
Jimin spoke up, his voice gentle but firm. "You both need to take a step back and think about how to move forward. This isn't easy for anyone."
Yoongi nodded in agreement, his eyes meeting Jimin's with a silent understanding. "Jimin's right. But for now, let's try to keep things as calm as possible."
Iseul nodded, her expression subdued. "I appreciate it. Really."
As the evening wore on, Yoongi’s attention kept drifting to Iseul, his feelings for her surfacing more strongly than ever.
Later that night, after Iseul had retreated to the guest room, Yoongi pulled Jimin aside. "Are you okay with this? Having her here?"
Jimin sighed, leaning into Yoongi's comforting presence. "It's not ideal, but I couldn't turn her away. She's my sister."
Yoongi wrapped an arm around Jimin, offering silent support, while wrestling with his own conflicted feelings. "Okay, love."
Despite the situations, he knew that with Yoongi by his side, they could face whatever challenges lay ahead. Meanwhile, Yoongi, though his mind was clouded with thoughts of Iseul.
The next morning, Jimin woke up to find Yoongi already dressed, sipping coffee at the kitchen table. Iseul was nowhere to be seen.
"Morning," Jimin said, yawning as he joined Yoongi.
