Four: The Question

Having the day planned out, Klaus was going to formerly introduce Annabelle to his family. This girl was his future. Nico saw him grabbing something. "What are you doing?"

"It's been four months snd Annabelle's family will start asking questions as to why there is no ring." Klaus tells his twin. "I have to ask her."

Nico rolled his eyes. "Have to? More like you want to. Brother, you are in love with this girl and yet, it seems you forgot the real reason..."

"I haven't. But I can't seem to hurt her. I want to be whole again, but how when Annabelle and Katerina are close." He tells her. "I think she is right and there is something not right about this ritual."

"I'm getting Katerina. With or without you."

Klaus shook his head at his twin as he walked away. He was not going to lose Annabelle Petrova. She means too much to him and Klaus never felt this love before. Not this kind of love. He knew what he was going to do. He truly was going to ask her father for her hand in marriage.

Waking up late was not part of Annabelle's usual routine. She never slept in, she's usually up and with Klaus, but for some odd reason, she just slept in. Like her body and mind truly needed it. "Psst." She looked to see her sister. "Lord Niklaus is here."

"What?"

Getting out of bed, Annabelle ran to the dining room to see Klaus standing there talking to her father. "You came here to ask for my youngest daughter's hand in marriage."

"Yes." He stated not seeing Annabelle listening. "From the first day I came here, I knew I had to know her and for the past four months, I got to know her." He says as Mrs. Petrova listened with a smile. "I will never hurt her as she had me falling so fast for her. She's beautiful, kind, respectful, anything a man should want in a woman. I want to marry Annabelle Petrova."

The room went deadly silent causing Katerina to grab her hand as they were worried. Katerina knew how much her sister truly loved this man and here he is in their home asking for Annabelle's hand in marriage.

Annabelle saw her father looking at her to see she was about to cry if he didn't approve. "She's the only girl that hasn't shamed my family." Glaring at her father, Annabelle looked at her sister. "You have my blessing."

"Daddy?" He looked at her. "What happened was just her being in love. Why can't you accept that. A lot of women are in her shoes and she truly loved this boy. You should have..."

"Annabelle, enough!" Her father yelled. "Go with your future husband before I lose my cool with you."

"Thank you." Katerina tells her. "Go with him."

Klaus put his arms around her as they walked out of her house. Annabelle kissed him with everything in her. "I love you." She tells him.

"I love you too." He says. "Let's go to my house."

Annabelle smiled as she stopped. "Niklaus, why did you truly ask my father to marry me?"

Looking at her, Klaus got down on one knee. "Annabelle Petrova, will you marry me?"

"Yes."
