If someone touched the blinds one more time while you were asleep, you swear you're gonna beat their ass.
Peeking out of the covers was rays of light envisioning your figure; one was poking through your eyesockets, forcing you back into more consciousness by the second.
Fluttering your eyes open, you find out you were facing the closed window. The blinds were not exactly doing a good job of keeping light out of your room. You know you had fixed it before last night, so you guessed someone in your family was the culprit.
Waking up reluctantly, you sat up from your bed on your two hands in a leisure manner. You looked around wearily as if you had just woken up in a coffin. One of your cold hands reaches to softly rub your eyes to get rid of the cobwebs dusted in the corner of your eyes.
It would be hard to see much if the faint light didn't help you in the dimmed room. It felt cold and empty, but so was everywhere else in the apartment. Thanks to living in it since you were born though, you became accustomed to it.
Letting out a silent yawn, you were tempted to go back to sleep and wait for someone to yell at the door to wake you up. You quickly wiped that thought off your mind.
To be completely honest, you don't want to go to school.
But your mother would drag your ass there anyway if you hadn't gone yourself. While the softness and comfort of your bed were difficult to leave, you still forced yourself to plant your feet on the cold and stiff floor. Lifting yourself off the bed too quickly, you walked further and further while ignoring the slight dizziness resulting from the fast movement.
Not really concerned for your limited hours, you took your sweet time in putting extra care in your appearance and belongings. You wore a long coat with long sleeves under your uniform. You saw a few creases left on your clothes, so you smooth them down before going down to half-heartedly eat the food that was left on the table.
In the middle of munching bread, you saw a small note sticked on the table. You read it out of curiosity, only to have your face drop into a blank look.
'For my little pookie bear :) -love, dad'
You shrugged, finishing the bread. You quickly headed to the doorway, putting on your shoes and grabbing the umbrella hanging from the wall.
Opening the door, the sight of potted plants seated outside reminded you of the recent addition of your routine; watering the plants before going to school.
Taking the waterpail laid ontop of the windowsill and putting the umbrella there, you tilted it until a small rain of water came down to the soil, you continued one by one until you reached to the end. You exhaled a sigh, feeling a sense of accomplishment even for a simple task. You returned the pail back to its place and grabbed your umbrella again.
You walked out of your apartment, adjusting your hold onto your bag before opening your umbrella. Bat-themed design, with lace pleats folded all around the edges, a thin veil under that looks like a spider's cobweb, further helping your resolve on the sunlight, while there's other exquisite accents implimented on the umbrella.
You already didn't like the heat the sun gives, but your skin was never this sensitive before. Recalling the time of the last time you were out for more than an hour, your body still vividly remembered the sunburns that didn't miss any exposed skin. It wasn't too painful, but you can faintly feel the sting even when you only thought of the event in your head. It wasn't a pleasant experience to go through.
