My first love||Taegyu

The Truth Unravels

Over a week has passed and they both still haven't brought it up. Soobin realized how awkward it had gotten between them. It seemed as if Taehyun actually remembered the night they had.

"Hey Taehyun, can you meet me at the park we went to last week? I need to tell you something important." Soobin sent a text feeling ready to confess to Taehyun. Before the text he called multiple times but Taehyun didn't pick up. That specific park was Soobins favorite, because of its vibrant hub throughout the day but at night becomes a hushed sanctuary.

Taehyun, finally reading the text thinking it was important, ran to the park. He ran so fast he was there before Soobin.

He looks around in a panicked manner looking for Soobin.

"Taehyun! Taehyun!"  Soobin yelled out.

Taehyun turns back and sees Soobin running towards him.

When Soobin reaches Taehyun he immediately asks him,

"Why did you text me to come here late? Are you okay? What did you need to tell me?"

"Why have you been ignoring me? Is there a reason? What did I do?"

Taehyun Just stands in silence.

"I've been trying to tell you something. I have been holding it in for so long but I can't hold it any longer. Have you ever caught up with the signs?"

"What signs? When you tried to hold my hand during the movie?" Taehyun asked

"Yes! You even kissed me after the movie!"Soobin responded.

" What kiss we never did after the movie?" Taehyun snapped

As Taehyun takes a deep breath he notices that Soobin is trying to avoid eye contact with him.

"Soobin.." Taehyun tries to speak but is stopped by him.

"I kept trying to tell myself to keep on trying but all I got was just a friendly smile. I know it's pointless to say this to you. I know that. But I love you. I always loved you, Taehyun. I really do.."

"I'm just happy I got to know you," said almost in a whisper but loud enough.

Taehyun realizes how Soobin really felt.

"So, I'm going to ask you this. Would you be my boyfriend?" Soobin asks as he goes to grab Taehyun's hand. When he grabs his hand Taehyun immediately pulls back.

"Soobin, I'm sorry I can't. I still love Beomgyu.."

Taehyun Just said that it made Soobins world shatter into a million pieces. He wonders if the kiss even meant anything.

"You really still love him even after how he treated you?"

"I know Soobin. I'm just feeling a little confused. I feel something towards you but I can't shake off the feelings I still have for beomgyu. I'm sorry but I don't think we can be together." Taehyun tells Soobin before walking off the opposite direction.

Before Taehyun could take a step, Soobin stops him.
"Taehyun.."

"I have to go now, bye Soobin." He said before walking off.

As rain begins to pour, Soobin sighs. He just stood there and couldn't process what just happened. It felt as if his feelings and confession was just thrown in the trash. Earlier before he met up he  prepared an envelope containing a heartfelt note.

Staring at his note he throws it on the ground just for the rain to turn it into mush.
