Gulki: ye dekho, yaha aram se fold krke, pile bana ke rakhti jao apne hisaab se

Mannat: aur aap kya karengi?

Gulki: acha baba mai fold krke deti hu, tum dhang se rakho, okay?

Mannat nodded

Gulki: aur thik se rakhna... Kahi ye na ho ki almirah khole aur ye sab dhamm krke muh pe aa jaaye

Mannat: tabhi toh Mazza aayega na

Gulki: kya Mazza hai isme? Firse sab sametna padh jayega

Mannat: areh, firse sametna kyu hai, patak Dena bas andar almirah mei

Gulki: tum na (gave her a look)

Mannat: kyaaa?  Mai kya? Puri chiz bolo

Gulki: ekdum pehle jaisi ho, shaitan kahi ki, ache se rakho ab, chalo, bag do

Mannat: uhm vo

Gulki: kyaa hua?

Mannat: mai fold krke aapko deti hu, aap saja do na idhar, mai krungi toh gir jayega

Mannat's pov:

Ab inhe kaise batau, I don't want her to see my bag, ki Khali padha hai, par ab toh pata chal hi jayega lagta hai, haye reh meri kismat

Gulki: han ye bhi thik hai, Varna tum toh kabad macha dogi

Mannat: no no wait, mai aapko kapde dungi, aap hi fold krengi, aur aap hi sajayengi bhi

Gulki: tum na, zyada hoshiyaar mat bano, mai kyu Sara kaam kru, tum kya krogi fir

Mannat: mai bag se nikal ke de rhi hu na... Aur kitna kaam krungi? Aur apne hi bola na meri help krni hai, kro abhi

Gulki: tumko toh mai aram se bataungi, abhi chalo do kapde, Varna late ho jayegi

Mannat gave a wide smile and passed her 4 pieces of clothing one after another and Gulki kept folding and arranging them

Gulki: next

Mannat: ho gya

Gulki: Hein?

Mannat: aur nhi hai, ho gya

Gulki: sirf 2 pair of kapde?

Mannat: mai jaha se aayi hu na, vaha pe yehi bohot hai

Gulki: uhm, sorry, mere dhyan se ekdum nikal gya bache, hum kal hi shopping chalte hai, aur mast badhiya badhiya kapde vagera sab lenge

Mannat: zyada kuch ki zarurat nhi hai

Gulki: areh vo mai dekh lungi

Mannat unwillingly nodded, she was kind of lost in her thoughts

Gulki: acha suno, bag toh Khali ho gya hai na, tum ek kaam kro, mere kapde pehen lo fresh hoke, tumhare vale dhone daal deti hu

Mannat: par aapke merko aayenge thodi

I said this trying to scan her but before I could, Joshi jii pulled me from one hand and made me stand infront of the mirror

Mannat: kya kr rhi hoo

Gulki: dekho, tum hi dekhlo shishe mei, han tumhari height choti hai merse... Aur thodi patli ho... Matlab thoda hi bada hoga na... Aur oversized ka toh trend hai, toh aram se aa jaogi mere kapdo mei

Before I could respond to her theory of clothes and sizes, she pulled me again through the same hand and this time we came infront of the almirah

Mannat: baar baar kheech kyu rhi ho, bol bhi toh sakti ho naa

Gulki: bolne se tum apna kuch bolne lag jaati ho, so this is better, isme tumhe sochne ka zyada kuch khas time bhi nhi milega aur fatafat se agree kr logi mere baaton se

On this I gave her a surprised look, she is damn intelligent bhaii, but I will never accept it infront of her heheee 🤭 🤭🤭

Gulki: choose krlo

Mannat: koi sa bhi de do na

Gulki then looked at her and then at the clothes

Joshi jii then started picking up tshirts and putting them on me and throwing them on the bed, she did that with 5 more tshirts before I intervened

Mannat: aap kya kr rhi hai?

Gulki: looking for the best one

Mannat: areh, aap rehne dijiye, aapse na ho payega

Saying this, I looked at the stacked clothes, the 2 topmost were green and blue in colour.
"Gulki ka green favourite colour tha" I got reminded of Papa's words and hence took out a green colour tshirt, I don't know why but I just did. I turned to look at her staring at me

Mannat: kya?

Gulki: kuch nhi, ye achi lag rhi hai tumhe?

I opened the tshirt and put it infront of me

Mannat: aap batao?

Gulki: looks good

I nodded with a smile and looked back at the cupboard

Mannat: koi simple shorts nhi hai kya?

Gulki: hai na

Mannat: vahi de do

Gulki's pov:

I nodded at her and looked for the variety of shorts/denims in my almirah, when my eyes went on a black one and a blue one. It clicked me that blue is her favourite colour so I gave her the blue one

Gulki: I think ye jayega

Mannat nodded with a smile

Gulki: jao fir freshen up ho lo

Mannat: aap par baitho mat, ye jo mera side of the bed aapne Ganda kiya hai apne kapdo se na, vo sameto, mera bed saaf kro

Gulki: oh hello madam, aap bhi toh saath thi

Mannat: par itne kapde kisne bikhere? Saare khol ke bed pe fekne ka kya tha... kisne kiya? Aapne na, vo bhi mere side pe... Hatao inko ab khud hi Varna

Gulki: Varna kya?

Mannat: uhm Varna 🤔🤔 (started thinking )

Gulki (teasingly): bolo bolo, kya kr logi? Chutki si toh ho tum

Mannat: mai chutki nhi hu

Gulki: vahi ho beta tum

Mannat: bola na nahi hu

Gulki: toh kya kr logi

Mannat: aap sochlo aapko mauka de rhi hu mai, mai bohot khatarnak hu, kuch bhi kr sakti hu

Gulki: beta agar tum khatarnak ho na, toh mai tumhari badi behen hu, kya kr logi, ab toh batao hi do tum

Chutki si toh hai ye, kya hi kr legi, so I decided to play along with her and go with the flow.

Mannat (shouted): papaaaa, mummaaaa

Gulki: areh, kya hua chilla kyu rhi ho

Both of their parents came running to the room

Aajke liye bas itna hi...

Kya lagta hai? Kya hoga aage?
