Conversations (A Hotchniss fanfic!)

Blue skies part 1<3

Little Lily is now almost a year old and the day of the Hotchner-Prentiss marriage was drawing closer. They held off to let Emily heal and then waited for Lily to grow a bit. But all the waiting would be worth it once Emily seen the work that had been put into the life form of her dream wedding... With her dream man.

Emily had always dreamt of an outdoor wedding, somewhere special to her. She wanted candles around the alter, the guests to be sitting on wooden benches covered in white roses (her favourite flower) and the Isle to be filled with memories and pictures.

She'd never shared that dream with many people because it sounded so sappy and romantic and she had to keep her poker face, it was nearly as good as Aaron's.

So when it came to the planning of the wedding she was surprised to hear that Aaron wanted to plan it. She was sure he would follow the traditional root, he's a traditional man and although that's not what she wanted, she wanted him and if that's what he wanted... It was good for her too.

She was only just back at work after her maternity leave and was already missing Lily like crazy! One more week till the wedding then back to work... No time for a honeymoon with their line of work.

Although Aaron was planning the wedding, Emily still got to choose the bridesmaids and the all important made of honour. It was an easy decision to choose Garcia and JJ as bridesmaids but she though she needed one more and so decided to ask Haley. They had become close friends over her maternity leave, she visited a few times a week to check up on her while Aaron was on cases. She said she didn't want him to loose another love in his life and she said that she'd help with Lily however she could. It was the problem of Maid of Honour that became rather difficult...

Emily planned on using the wedding to pair up JJ and Pene, they weren't dating and Emily knew perfect matches for them... And they were closer than they thought.

So as the day arrived, Emily stayed at home as Aaron requested and watched Lily for the morning. He left the night before saying that it was unlucky to see the bride before she comes down the isle. Traditional... Right?

There was a knock at the door and she answered it with Lily and it was JJ, Garcia and Haley. All on time. At first JJ and Pene were confused by Emily asking Haley but never made her feel left out. Aaron told them the dresses would be delivered to the front door along with a surprise... It was all so secretive.

Emily had decided who would be maid of honour but waited till the morning of the wedding to tell them. She sat them down after Lily had fallen asleep.

"No matter how long I have known you, each of you three ladies means a lot to me, in different ways. That is why this is so difficult. Choosing one maid of honour isn't ideal as you all deserve it and I want you all to have it. I do have to pick one of you though and God has it been difficult, but I chose JJ."

Everyone congratulated JJ and hugged Emily. When there was a knock at the door.
On the other side of the door was Jack standing with a box in his hands. "Good day Emily, I am Jack and I am here to deliver your dresses from my Father. I also have this box in my hands. It is your surprise. I'll see you all later"

"Oh hello Mr Jack, thank you very much good man." He walked away looking proud of himself to a black SUV with white ribbon around the side, that must have been Aaron.

They all had a little laugh at Jack and how grown up he is getting. The nosiness of Pen was getting the best of her when she blurted out "OPEN THE BOX EM!" All the girls laughed and Emily opened the box and her mouth dropped into an O.

"What what is it??" They all asked in unison.

A tear escaped Emily's eyes as she sat the box down. Inside was her mothers veil. She'd recognise it a mile away! She'd played with it as a young girl, dreaming of her wedding day and it was here. Aaron couldn't have known this but the feeling was there.

"It's my mums veil" She lifted it out the box and there was a note. "Hey guys, there's a note"

Emily opened the piece of folded paper and it read..

My dearest Emily,
It kills me not being able to see you so I thought a letter would help cure your worries. You must be wondering where your going and at what time and who will be walking you down the isle. And if I'm wrong? I'm clearly not as good a profiler as you make out. A driver will pick you up at 11.30 and bring you to your wedding ceremony. After that is another surprise venue that I hope makes you happy.

I love you so much Emily and I can't wait to see you my darling fiancé.

Emily read it out loud to the girls and laughed and cried at the same time. There was another knock at the door. They opened it to see a make up and hair stylist standing there with a few others with another letter. It read..

Oh and this is also for you. I can't wait to see you.

At 11:30 a horn tooted outside and all the girls were downstairs except Emily. They shouted on her "come on em that's us, time to go get married" They could hear her laugh from up the stairs. She started so walk down the stairs and the girls were speechless!

"Oh my god Em" escaped Pens mouth as Emily joined them. They shared their love of her dress that Aaron picked out and they got Lily and headed out the door... Going to get Emily Married......
