Chapter 7: Cuisine Preview

Rimuru PoV

My meeting with the hero Masayuki was rather... awkward, he didn’t even talk that much. It was like he's just there standing. He was overall pretty chill but also looked anxious. His party, however, didn't seem so welcoming. The moment they saw me, they went on about defeating me before I even got to introduce myself. Quite harsh for a first meeting if you ask me.

They didn't have manners but seemed to praise Masayuki a lot. They also didn't seem to be too open to a constructive conversation. Thanks to Yuuki, I was able to settle some things down before it went the other way around.

Though I did hear from Mjormilles that Masayuki is indeed a strong hero and has won a brilliant number of battle tournaments in Ingrasia.

As a solution, I ended up offering a deal with Masayuki stating that he'll take part in the tournament that'll occur in the next two days, and if he won, he could take his chance of a duel with me. His party members were quite arrongant about Masayuki and their response to the deal was rather... positive to say the least.

Masayuki seemed like he was about to faint and was quietly trembling as well after hearing it, I don't think he's alright with the fact that he has to fight me if he ended up winning, yet he accepted the offer anyway.

Right now, Shuna is getting me ready for the Tourist Introduction. This time
she actually prepared the clothes already, which is good because I don't need to go through that session of intense clothes picking. She's just fixing a few more adjustments, stiching her thread here and there.

Soon then, I was ready to get on stage.

Pretty massive crowd as an audience to say the least, there were two sides of the crowd, the random human nobles and the special guests section, which are filled with kings, queens, and some undercover demon lords, except for Milim, she's a proud and prideful demon lord.

"Thank you everyone for come here today! My name is Rimuru. And as you all may know, I have been recently appointed a demon lord."

"Today is the first day of our Founder's Festival, as it is also the first time we shall unveil our Nation to the whole world. Tonight I'd like to give you all a preview of the Tempestian cuisine."

"I was never one for speeches, So let's begin!"

I raised my hand that was holding a glass of wine,
"To our continued growth in goals and future friendships!! Cheers!!" My voice boisterous, as everybody else in the audience cheered as well.

And then I bowed as show of polite to the 'other' side, I noticed Gazel and the King of Blumund was there. Wait... why are they here? I thought they had matters to deal with in their nation.

Ohhh... right, they told me earlier that they just gave it to they're advisors so they could attend here without problem.

After that, I walked out of the stage and walked to Gazel and Youm's table. Though, I couldn't help but notice the unusual looking girl at corner of the crowd, she was quite unnoticeable at first but I didn't really mind it.

"Yet another lifeless speech again, I see." Gazel said.
I noticed Youm waving his hand at me trying to catch my attention, "What is it your excellency? I'm not used to speaking with nobility, so pardon my rudeness." I said in a teasing tone with a mischievous smirk on my face.
"Aren't we alike Boss? I'm not used to speaking with nobility as well, So stop teasing!!" Youm exclaimed,

I looked over at the table of the king and queen of Blumund, they seem to be exploring the other cuisines and trying them, they look like they were enjoying it so that's good.
