Jungkook slowly opened his eyes, only to find himself in a luxurious royal bed, his eyes widened in surprise. Puzzled, he looked down to see the king sleeping uncomfortably on the hard floor. Confusion and disbelief clouded his mind as he tried to make sense of the peculiar situation.
He cautiously got up from the plush bed and approached Taehyung, who was also waking upTaehyung slowly opened his eyes and was greeted by the sight of Jungkook's face. "Oh, what a beautiful view early in the morning," he murmured, a dreamy smile gracing his lips.
Jungkook's cheeks flushed with embarrassment as he whispered, "It's not a dream." Taehyung's eyes widened in realization, and he sat up abruptly.
"Wait, what?" he gasped. Jungkook cleared his throat, clearly uncomfortable. "About last night...," he began but hesitated.
"You don't have to tell me if you don't want to," Taehyung offered, sensing Jungkook's unease. "No, I want to tell you," Jungkook said, steeling himself. "I... I want to tell you, My King." Taehyung's heart skipped a beat as he met Jungkook's gaze. "As you wish," he whispered, reaching out to pull Jungkook into a tight embrace.
Jungkook let out a shuddering breath, his whole body trembling as he finally let the words tumble out. Taehyung held him close, feeling the younger's body heat against his own, listening to the anguished sobs that racked his frame. It was hard for Taehyung to comprehend the horrors that Jungkook had endured at the hands of his own father. How could someone who was supposed to protect their child inflict such pain and suffering?
As Jungkook continued to share his story, Taehyung found himself unable to hold back his own tears. He pressed his cheek against Jungkook's damp hair, feeling the warmth of it against his skin. He wanted nothing more than to make this pain go away, to erase the memories that were haunting Jungkook, but he knew that wasn't possible. All he could do was be there for him, to offer him comfort and support.
Eventually, Jungkook's sobs began to subside, and he leaned back slightly to look up at Taehyung. His eyes were red and puffy, but there was a newfound determination in them. "Thank you," he whispered. "For listening. For being here." Taehyung smiled gently down at him, wiping away a stray tear from Jungkook's cheek. "I'm here for you, Jungkook. Always."
The silence that fell between them was comfortable, almost comfortable, as if they could sit like this forever. But Taehyung knew that they couldn't. They had a journey ahead of them, one that would be filled with danger and uncertainty. Yet, despite all of that, he knew that he wouldn't be alone. Jungkook would be by his side, and together, they could face whatever came their way.
Suddenly, the door creaked open, and Taehyung's best friend, Jimin, poked his head inside. "Sorry, did I interrupt something?" he asked, a playful smile on his lips. His green eyes darted between the two of them, and Taehyung could see the concern written all over his face.
Taehyung muttered,"ahh this cockblocker" and Jimin just glared at him.
Jungkook glanced at Taehyung, then back at Jimin. There was a brief flash of embarasment in his eyes before he forced a smile. "No, no. Not at all. We were just... talking." He paused, running a hand through his messy hair."
Jimin said,"chill jungkook I know that taehyung have a big fat crush on you and he just wanted to spend some quality time with you, nothing more." Jungkook's cheeks turned red as he heard his friend's words. Taehyung couldn't help but laugh at the blush on Jungkook's face. "Well, you know me, always looking out for my best friends." Jimin grinned, walking further into the room. "So, what were you two talking about that made you so quiet?" he asked, settling down next to the fireplace.
Jungkook glanced at Taehyung again, searching for some sort of reassurance. Seeing Taehyung's encouraging smile, he took a deep breath and decided to share a little more. "Well, we were talking about my father. He...he was not a good man," he said, his voice barely above a whisper.
Taehyung felt his stomach knot at the mention of Jungkook's father. He knew how much pain it brought up for him. "I'm so sorry, Jungkook. I can't even begin to imagine what you went through." He reached out and squeezed Jungkook's hand gently.
Jimin frowned, his eyes darkening. "That bastard shouldn't have done that to you," he said angrily. "He didn't deserve to have a son like you." Jungkook gave a small smile, grateful for his friend's support.
"Sorry to interrupt your quality time, but Taehyung, your mother is calling you," he said apologetically before stepping back. Taehyung nodded gratefully and headed off to start his day, leaving Jimin and Jungkook alone.
Jungkook chuckled softly, breaking the silence. "Oh yes, I also had duty today. I am gonna be late today," he remarked, trying to lighten the mood. Taehyung and Jungkook exchanged knowing glances, their bond evident even in their brief interactions, before preparing to part ways.As Taehyung turned to leave, he hesitated for a moment before turning back to Jungkook with a mischievous grin. "My goodbye kiss?" he teased, a playful glint in his eyes. Jungkook's eyes widened at the unexpected request, his cheeks flushing with a tinge of pink as he quickly bid farewell and darted off, leaving Taehyung chuckling behind him.
jimin looked at his best friend and said "taehyung you shameless creature" Both Jimin and Taehyung watching Jungkook run as fast as he could. Taehyung replied back with playful smirk,"only shameless for my baby".
Well, he does look kinda cute when he's blushing like that," jimin chuckled, nodding at jungkook who was currently hiding behind a giant tree, his face beet red. Taehyung rolled his eyes, knowing full well that jimin was just teasing. He glanced over at jungkook and couldn't help but feel a pang of something in his chest. Something warm and familiar, like the comfort of a worn-out sweater on a cold night.
"Oh, shut up. You're just jealous that you're not the one who can make him blush like that," he retorted, his voice laced with amusement. jimin just grinned, shaking his head.
