Chapter 1 : A Fresh Start

*Harry's POV*

"Yay, a new year at Hogwarts" I thought sarcastically to myself. "Another year of hassle from the Slytherins."

As I got off the Hogwarts Express, I trip over Draco Malfoy's foot. "Shit" I muttered. "Watch where you're going Potter!" Malfoy spat, his shimmering blond hair swaying in the moonlight. I shrugged off his sly remark as i walked over to Ron and Hermione standing by Hagrid. "Come along fourth years, get into the carriages. It's freezing out here." He boomed. "Evening Hagrid," I smiled. "Evenin' Harry," he grinned back. I jumped into an empty carriage followed by Hermione and Ron. "Honestly, Ronald, you need to learn to keep yourself clean. Those robes of yours better be cleaner than this jumper." Hermione hissed at Ron. Just as the carriage was going to leave, a rather beat up and pale looking Malfoy came and sat in the same carriage as Ron, Hermione and I.  I tried to ignore him but I kept catching his silvery eyes looking at mine every so often. "Jesus Christ, Malfoy, what is up with you?!" I exclaimed rather annoyed. "Crabbe and Goyle were jinxed by some Ravenclaw and they turned on me..." He explained. "And why should we feel sorry for you? After all the shit you've put us through." Ron said angrily. "Listen, Weasley, you and your filthy little mudblood girlfriend can shut up. The shit I've put you through is what you deserved." Draco snapped back.

As we reached the gates of Hogwarts, we all jumped off the carriage and practically ran to our dorms. I quickly changed into my robes and went down to the Great Hall for our beginning-of-year welcome from Professor Dumbledore. "Welcome back everybody, how wonderful it is to see your faces again." He began, "Before we begin the feast, I must introduce you to our new Defense against the Dark Arts teacher, Professor Delores Umbridge. I whispered over to Ron and Seamus "She was at my hearing in the Ministry..."  Before I could continue, Professor Umbridge began to speak in this posh and annoying tone. "I would like to thank you all for welcoming me so nicely into Hogwarts..." The thing is, no one clapped, no one smiled, no one even bothered to fake a smile. Everyone could already tell she was going to be the biggest bitch in Hogwarts history."Blah blah blah" is all we heard through her very thorough speech about how she was to conduct her teaching. After the feast, Ron, Hermione and I went up to the Gryffindor common room and had a little "discussion" if you will, about Professor Umbridge...

"Gosh, i can already tell she is going to be the worst Defense against the Dark Arts teacher yet." Hermione said angrily. "Yeah" Ron and I said in agreement. "I heard you say something to Seamus about her being at your hearing in the Ministry," Ron said, "Yeah, she was there wearing a fluffy pink collar. She definitely stood out from the crowd." I replied hastily. "I'm going to sleep, I need to study for the OWLs soon." Said Hermione. "Same here,"I replied, "See you both at breakfast."

Yes there shall be Drarry action in the next chapter...It will mostly be arguments and figuring out what they feel for each other but there may be some fluff if you're lucky.

 I hope I will be uploading a new chapter per week but i will make sure I have chapters written up prior to their release dates. So I will probably write about 3 chapters a week so I have them already written so I don't need to freak out about being late for an update.
