Like everyone else, you had a backstory. Something that shaped your mind and soul, created your very being-

Except, unlike everyone else's, yours was boring. Utterly, tragically boring. Devoid of any excitement. It began the day you were born- given that everything seemed to, through your lens. Your parents were sickeningly good people, it made your nose wrinkle in disgust from time to time.

They smothered you with affection, bending to your every whim, meeting your every requirement– of course they would. They wouldn't want to make their precious child sad, would they?

Every day, you were spoiled with your favorite snacks, the best shows playing near-constantly, and the ample chatter of the lesser rodents passing by outside.

...But that quickly grew boring. Like a gaping hole where your heart should be. When you discovered your quirk, you felt no joy. Only anticipation. What entertainment this power could give you; honestly, it made you shudder from– get this, 'cause you'll only hear this once– excitement. Your quirk– your power– an extension of you– was utterly simple, the exact opposite of the real it. YOU.

The day you were bestowed with this gift from the gods was a day you'd truly never forget– the day of RECKONING–

THE BIRTH OF ELATION.
