Adrian's POV
Honestly, I thought I wouldn't go back to school ever. I mean, yeah, I moved schools, but it doesn't mean that the same thing won't happen over here. It only just happened 5 months ago. Was I really ready?.
I was stressing out about school, I really didn't want to go back but if I really valued my education I had to go back.
"Hey, are you listening to me?" AJ snapped me out of my thoughts. I looked back at her through the video call. "No, yeah, I am," I said, obviously trying to lie to her. "You're stressing about school, aren't you?" Damn, she's good at reading me. I stayed silent despite saying the truth, she said.
"Maybe, honestly I'm not sure if I even want to go," I said to her, she frowned. "I get why you wouldn't, but it won't happen again, I'm sure of it. I mean—" I cut her off. "Can we not? I don't want to speak about it," I muttered uncomfortably, which she picked up on. "My point is that don't expect bad things just because they happened once, or else you just won't be able to live at all." she reassured me.
She was right though. I can't just expect what happened to me would happen again. I shifted positions in my chair to get more comfortable. "I see your point, but it doesn't change the fact that I don't wanna go either," I chuckled.
"Adrian, who really wants to go to school?" AJ remarked.

"You guys know where you need to go?" AJ asked as she was rummaging through her backpack. "No, we gotta go to the main office for our schedules," said my little brother Victor. "Then come on and hurry up or else we're going to be late," she hurried out of my car, and we followed.
We walked towards the building. I hesitated a bit but continued on walking, following right behind my little sister. We entered the building, which looked way better and bigger from the inside. AJ led us straight to the main office to help us get our schedules. Me and my siblings got our schedules, then Victor and Victoria separated from us and went off to explore for themselves, but AJ stayed with me to help me navigate and to keep me company just in general.
"What class do you have?" AJ asked, taking a sip from her water. I pulled up my folded schedule and read what my first class of the day was. "Physics" I looked back at her, showing her as well. "Oh, cool, come on, I'll take you" she said, taking my hand and dragging me down the hallway past the other students, who were just looking at us.
Once AJ took me to class, we waved each other off, and I entered my class. Half the room was full but not completely. I took a seat at an empty table by the windows so I can stare outside when I get bored. We still had 10 minutes before class started, so I took out my phone and just started scrolling through it.
Once the bell rang, I put my phone away and started to pay attention to what the teacher was saying.
Like 15 minutes into class, the door swung open and walked in this guy. He had brown hair and blue eyes, he was only a little bit taller than me but honestly he was kinda hot.
"Late are we Marco?"said the teacher, having to stop what she was doing. "My bad traffic you know?" He said while putting his keys in his backpack while the teacher just rolled her eyes. "For now go sit next to... Adrian right over there" said the teacher as the glanced threw her clipboard and back to me. What luck I had to be sat next to the hot guy.
He pulled out the chair right next to me and sat down. I don't know why but I got a little nervous. I don't know if it's because he's hot, or because he seems like one of the boys from my old school, honestly maybe both.
